Worked perfectly!
This tool worked great! It came dry so I added a very tiny little bit of oil to both sets of threads. I feel threads like these should be lightly lubricated. Especially when you consider the torque that you're going to be applying. Unscrew the center driver bolt on the tool so that it's even with the inner surface of the outer piece. If you look inside, none of the driver bolt should be past the inner surface. Then screw the outer piece into your crank arm. Making sure not to cross thread it. These are fine threads. Be careful and gentle starting it into the crank arm threads. And make sure you have it threaded correctly before applying any significant force and turning it in very much. Once you're sure it's in the threads right, turn it all of the way into the crank arm. It is important to make sure that the outer piece is all of the way into the crank arm. If you only have it in a couple of turns you could strip out the threads in your crank arm. It's important to have the driver bolt backed out enough so that it doesn't touch anything before the outer piece bottoms out inside the crank arm. Then, once the outer piece is turned all of the way into the crank arm, start turning the driver bolt inside the tool to remove your crank arm. It's almost harder to explain how to use it than to actually use it. I'd buy it again without hesitation. And I'm not getting any form of compensation for this review. It seems very well made to me. It was very simple to use and worked great!

Pull that crank!
worked great! I needed it because I messed up and needed to fix the problem I created. It would have cost much more in money and humiliation to take my bike to a pro, so I bought this. It worked easily and I repaired my bike with no one being the wiser!

Works perfect if used correctly
Don’t make the same mistake! The reason why the bad reviews say that it crossed threaded or ripped their threads out, is because they didn’t loosen the center part to allow for the tool to thread all the way into the crank and provide the right amount of grip for pulling the crank off. See my pictures to understand. I almost did it myself thinking it was fully threaded (it was only half) when in actuality it stopped threading because the center bolt blocked it from spinning any further. After I figured that out, this worked perfectly on five different crank sets I was trying to remove. No issues and easily threaded on.

Helpful even if you only need it once
This thing helped me save a stationary bike rather that pay someone to do it, or buy a brand new one.

The tool to have for crank repair.
This is another example of how easy repairs can be if you only have the right tool! Who would think that a few dollars for this crank puller could reduce hours of effort to just a couple of minutes. As with most bike repairs, the correct tool can make all the difference it is always worth the small cost! As with car repair, this also applies especially to bicycle maintenance (cranks, freewheels, cone nuts, etc.). This tool did the trick for quick crank removal, leading the way to easy bearing replacement.

It worked perfectly, my bike was old so difficult to remove the crank but after a few bangs on the wrench it popped off!
