Great Value
I have ordered this product three times and have not been disappointed. The material arrives well packaged and in good condition. Dimensions are accurate and the flatness of the stock is acceptable, I have only had one piece out of 12 that had a slight bow to it, and it was easily flattened using a bench vice and some washers. Material arrives annealed as advertised, easily cut with a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder. Easily profiled using a variety of methods, i.e. belt grinder, sanding drum, files. Heat treats easily in my DIY ammo can forge and quenches in warm canola oil with no problem. I will continue to purchase this material.

Produces a beautiful hamon
This 1095 works great to produce really nice hamons. Some other vendors 1095 grade may not be truly 1095 and won’t produce a hamon. If you want to clay this spine this steel works great for producing a high contrast hamon.

Love their products and its American made
The metal is cuped so you do have to take extra time to get a proper flat but still love the product

Happy with Purchase
To state upfront, I am new the knife making (but looking forward to starting a new hobby). The reasons I purchased from this seller was that the cost was a little cheaper and I felt that it would be easier for me to start with 1/8" thick material.Bars came wrapped in butcher paper. Each bar was straight and I didn't notice any significant gouges.Tip for newbies: For those who don't have a bandsaw or grinder - you can rough in your general shape with a standard hacksaw pretty easily.Edit 1:I was able to heat treat using a buddy's oven. No noticeable warping - wahoo!Spent a fair amount of time sanding, but eventually came away with something I was happy with.Finished things off with some simple scales (red oak stock I purchased from HD).Overall, it was a pleased with this steel.
