Try it before reviewing!
I read a few horrible reviews about this and I don't know why people didn't test it first before reviewing. I rubbed my hand along the edge and it wasn't even close to sharp. I went ahead and tried it anyways and it ended up shaving off the bark as well as some of the tree. Pretty amazed that it can do that without a sharp edge. I took 20 minutes on the first log. In the second log, I figured out how to use to correctly and took 11 minutes. I thought I could have the knife follow the shape of the log, but either the log was too big or I didn't know how to use one. The videos I found were people using a straight one and not curved. Anyways, have the knife curved like a U and then you just pull towards you. If you have it angled a little in the air, it goes by very smoothly. The blade has a little bevel to it, so just follow that angle and it will go smoothly. It will make you question if you are in shape though. After 2 logs, I was out of breath and needed a break. The logs in the picture are pine: 4 feet in length and 14 to 16 inches in diameter. If you have an entire forest to debark, I wouldn't recommend this. Definitely spend the $300 to get the chainsaw attachment to debark if you have that many.

Solid and sharp
The media could not be loaded. Just as advertised. I’m going to put some lock tight on the nut/bolt now that I know I’m keeping it as nut loosens a little over time. Came sharp enough to do a 14 foot section of pine tree all the way down to the stainable wood and still sharp. I’ve found using it curved side up or curved side down offer different options. Curve down like I talk about in the video is good for the debarking then curved “up” for the thinner layers getting to the stainable wood.

Pro/Con
We used for small trees that we used for a frame for our grape vines. Pine is waaay easier to de bark- but we had mostly oak- ugh. Better than buying exp lumber. We also burnt the portion that went in the ground for preservation- we shall see how long it takes to rot.

As expected, maybe better.
I’m seeing a lot of complaints about there being no edge on it. Got mine, put the handles on, could definitely feel an edge even though they paint the black all over it. Worked on the first pull though. And every one after that. Expected a little break in or something but fantastic without any effort. Would recommend.

Decent knife, quality control not great
The edge of the knife came painted over so basically had no edge. After using a sharpener, the paint came off and works great. Was difficult to sharpen since the blade is curved.

Skinning oaks!
Cleaning up some small oaks, works great!

Arrived rough shaped and unsharpened.
This seems like a fine draw knife, but it arrived powder-coated after being roughly shaped but not at all sharpened. So it's not really a woodworking tool as much as it is a funny-shaped piece of metal.
