Speed Learning Cartomancy Fortune Telling With Playing Cards

My Favorite Cartomancy learning book
Speed Learning Cartomancy is an excellent teaching source. Julian Moore, the author, uses multiple types of learning styles to help one learn cartomancy in an easy and quick manner. He includes audios on his site so one can listen to the book as they "play". I love this final touch to his learning methods.I had tried writing the meanings on the cards from a cartomancy book a lot of people like. Julian Moore's methods are much better. I had also tried the preprinted decks with the full meanings on cards. They make no sense when trying to put things together and are very limited in context, let alone adding any intuitiveness in the mix. The latter leave you with some confusion when the "in stone" meanings do not fit a reading. That is one of the top reasons many cannot read tarot. There is no flow or intuitiveness when learning by rote, either. Rote-learning is boring and "flat", if that makes any sense and tends to not stick in one's mind very well.Julian Moore's methods of learning are how I finally learned to read the tarot decades ago. I am told his methods are similar to those of the best Cartomancy teachers, but he put them in my preferred method of learning, in a book. The book is easy to work with and well laid out. You can work a chapter at a time if you want. Do get a multiple-pack box of playing cards, an ultra-fine sharpie (I have red and black to match the suits) and a notebook for working in. Yep, there is homework and you must practice. The practice methods suggested are interesting and downright fun at times.

Masterpiece!
This book is the missing link between all the cartomancy books you might have read and the actual card reading the way it was meant to be.I have read many books on cartomancy and have done card reading for many years, but reading this book put me in the driver's seat! Reading other cartomancy books is like learning driving by reading alone! Julian more puts you in the driver's seat, tells you how to drive till you become a pro! This book has lots of exercises, as well . It's like hands on training and you clearly and easily understand the cards inside out and he even shows you how to communicate and read cards for the client.Awesome!

Worked better than I imagined
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about learning cartomancy. When I have bought 'How to' books in the past, it seems like I start reading them but get bored within a few chapters. This was not the case with 'Speed Learning Cartomancy'. The author keeps you interested by having you stop reading, breaking out your practice deck, and doing some fun practice work. I didnt get bored or lose interest once and I was doing readings for my friends in no time. I hope you have as much fun with this book as I did and may the Cards fall in your favor ;)

Very good introduction to playing card
Very good introduction to playing card, but unfortunately it stays very basic. Red is good Black is bad. There is no discussion about negative numbers about the meaning of individual cards, about the appearance of the same number multiple times. It's an easy book to read and to follow, but at the end I haven't learn anything new.

Disappointed waste of money.
I put 5starts only so this review gets seen. This book only has the description of aces and court cards. It tells how to read spreads a bit but I will need to buy another book to explain this one better. All this information and more can be found online for free.

A Great Start
This is a great start for someone who has absolutely no knowledge of Cartomancy and has decided to begin to read a deck of standard playing cards. It is helpful in that it organizes the project as the book is well designed to help the beginner. However, if you have a knowledge of the deck and how it is used in fortune telling you will not progress further than the basics with this book.

A Fun Read and Practical
I'm one of the most non spiritual, non new age folks as they come and am just interested in cold reading, etc. Researching Derren Brown lead me to Julian Moore's books, and I decided to purchased the kindle version of the Cartomancy. After reading the first few pages, I purchased a few decks of cards straight away and delved into learning. It's just a fun thing to learn and I am using the book as he suggested--just a total hoot to learn what suits and the numbers (spot cards mean). I'd say this is going to be a lot of fun. I think if you're a people person, you could really make this a comical blast with friends and strangers! He gives you all you need but encourages to explore with the basics. The books is very readable and enjoyable to follow.

Great book
When I was reading the book, I felt like I was in class and my teacher was teaching me step by step how to read playing cards. It is a very practical book, with great techniques to memories the cards. If you follow the instruction in the book, and practice a lot, you will benefit from this book for sure.

Excellent
I’ve been working with this book for many years now and come back to it over and over again. I always have fresh insights and the learning method works. The concepts in this book have also dramatically enhanced my tarot card readings and I recommend this book highly to anyone with even a passing interest in the topic.

Not helpful at all
I don't recommend this book. It's totally useless for a beginner and there is nothing that can't be find on internet. Very general.

nice to begin with cartomancy
nice to start cartomancy. Once you develop it can be a bit too simplistic tho so I would advise it for beginners
