Great item, hard to place in car.
Some places in the car make it not function correctly, which is in the directions. Bought it for the dash but can’t put it there. It’s not the compass, it’s the vehicle. I was able to put it in a coin holder spot between the seats so I can still see it. Item is as expected.

Could not find a spot inside the truck where it would read correctly.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find a single spot in my truck where it wasn’t being influenced by metal. Works great as a compass outside of the truck. The second I bring it inside it just finds metal anywhere and points to it. Not even holding it up dead center in the air made it read correctly. Again, It does work as a compass, but I could not get it to work inside the truck.

Doesn't work in a car. Too much metal.
It is a nice small compass. But, all the metal and magnets in the car make it impossible for the compass to work properly.

Great dashboard compass
This compass makes it easy to see which way you are headed and the back side lets you see direction you are moving away from. A fun feature if you are holding it in your hand

DON'T BUY THIS
I ordered this for my car. I mounted it on the dash. The minute I started driving, the ball started moving like a bobble head, and it never settled on the correct direction. Total waste of time. I'm grateful for Amazon's return policy.

It works always pointing north
It works perfectly fine as a compass and gyroscope. It States the same if you rotate or inclinate

very nice device. working perfectly. a little velcro on the bottom and it sticks anywhere on my (carpeted) dash will no problem. easy to see in the daylight. at night not so easy. compass can only be seen when some type of artificial light happens to light-it-up. even so, a nice addition to my non-compass car and well worth the cost. good luck.
