Thomas and the Easter Eggs (Thomas & Friends) (Little Golden Book)

This is a Little Golden Book, which should and does mean that the illustrations are vivid, and the story is paced thoughtfully. As a writer myself, I am always amazed how these little stories that sometimes seem to lack a point, can be embellished for kids to the point where it's like a charming bouquet of colors and warm stories of reluctant underdogs coming into their own to save the day. So many elements go overlooked in the build of a book like this. The vocabulary is set to be almost entirely words my son knows, or so it seems. Upon closer inspection it is quite easy to see him being introduced to plenty of new words. There is an art to this. The illustrations in this book are very high resolution and expensive-looking like a modern comic book. There is a reason the name "Little Golden Book" still means something. What they did right from the beginning is what they are still doing right to this day with this product line. These books are a certain length, with a certain number of words, a certain weight, and a hardcover. It's rare to find a disappointing book in this series.

My three-year-old son loves Thomas the Train and I love to buy books for my kids so I was very excited to find a Thomas Easter book for him! I'm really happy that my twins aren't as rough on their books anymore so I have been adding several of the Little Golden Books to their collection. The book measures 6 1/2 inches by 8 inches and, like all Little Golden Books, it has the typical gold binding so it fits perfectly in with our collection of LGB. This book has the hard front and back covers with paperback pages and lots of fun, colorful pictures for kids to look at.Thomas and the Easter Eggs is a cute story about how Thomas has to go help out in the town of Harwick for a couple days. While he is there, he gets to see what the town does for their Easter celebration and he ends up helping out with an Easter egg hunt. Thomas also learns about springtime.This book is an excellent book to give to a Thomas fan for Easter. I gave it to my son before Easter so we could read it and talk about Easter beforehand. So far my son loves it and asks me to read it to him a lot! Even his twin sister enjoys it. From a mom's point of view, I love the themes of helping others and being kind to others that are present in this Thomas book, as well as the others we have read. I recommend this book to any Thomas fan!

My son loves it

This is a perfect book for the little Thomas fan.The vocabulary and pacing are great for the elementary school crowd.In this book Thomas travels to a town, learns about spring and Easter, and culminates with Thomas taking part in the Easter Egg hunt.The book is sturdy and colorful and will last for hours and hours of fun reading and play.

My son LOVES Thomas the Train. In fact, his Easter basket is all Thomas this year. I love putting books and other items instead of chocolate candy in his basket. This is a really cute book that is a Golden Book that is well made and well written. I ordered the train to match the book. The story is nice and interesting. My son is going to love it!

A very sweet story about Thomas the Train helping children with their Easter egg hunt. Very pleased and both my 2 year old and 5 year old sons love the story.

Purchased this for my 2 year old nephew for Easter and he loves it. He is a big Thomas the Tank Engine fan and is just learning to read and so his love of the programme as well as his interest in learning make this an excellent choice. The book is made from good quality materials and will stand the test of time. Great value for money as this is both education and will become a keepsake for many years to come.
