I am VERY impressed...and I'm not easily impressed!
I bought this MOARON Direct filter mask to use with resin crafting. I am using a "non-toxic, low VOC" brand of 2-part resin, but as I spend a lot of time over uncured, out-gassing resin I figured it would be smart to wear PPE besides gloves even if it says "non-toxic". This mask is fantastic! It is very comfortable, easy to fit & wear, and it's VERY, VERY EFFECTIVE. I put it on and really put it through the torture test! First I put some epoxy resin dye which STINKS to heaven inside a plastic bag and stuck my masked face in the bag. NOTHING besides the fresh plastic of the mask itself. This dye is so smelly I have to store the closed container in a zipper lock bag. Next was CAJUN SPICE MIX!! I absolutely adore the spice mix but I go into sneezing fits when I inhale any...it's got a LOT of red and black pepper in it. So again, open container, mask right over it an inch away and....nothing. No spice scent at all. The mask works so much better than I expected, I can see me using it for other stinky tasks even if they don't normally require PPE like cleaning with bleach or ammonia!! I also bought a set of MOARON Direct "6 Pcs P-A-1 Filter Cartridges, Activated Carbon Filter Set, Compatible with 6000 6500 7502 7702 8200 308 FF400 Filter Accessories, Dust-Proof, Organic Vapor, Pollen (P-A-1 Filter Set)" here while I was at it so I won't have to worry about using filters past their effectiveness. I put them through the tests and they were 100% effective too. You'll know when a PPE filter is wearing out when you can start smelling stinky stuff-write down the date you started using the current set of cartridges so you will have an idea of how long a set lasts you. I'm not using this in a commercial/factory setting so I'm sure that will be a while!

Superior material than other brands and half as expensive.
Appears to be made of high quality, robust materials. Upon initial fitting, I was pleased immediately with the strength of the straps. My previous 3M masks...(yes, plural); fail in comparison with their straps being of plastic-elasticity-crap. Which only lasted a pathetic duration before requiring modification & in the field fixes, altogether compromising the performance of the entire product. My job is more often than not, full of exposure to toxic dust and unhealthy air. I work in construction and need a mask 80% of the time, such as when demolition or concrete is involved. Quick releases are gimmicks and not truly a feature I expect with any mask. This mask has no such feature, however I mention this because the fact that the straps and overall comfortable fit that this mask provides, is more than satisfactory in lieu of such "marketable falsified concept" that is boldly used by several other manufacturer's. The restricted airflow is on par with other brands, although this particular product does come with extra filter inserts. 3 of them, wrapped in sealed plastic bags. All contents came securely packaged in a small box with adequate protection from damages (ie air pillows inside box). Another quality I noticed about this product was it's actual form. The shape the rubber portion is made, does in fact conform to my facial structure very well. I needed to exert very little strength to tighten the straps to fit properly, right out of the box. Surely the 11-year old kid that assembles 450 of these a day, could not have known what size to preadjust the straps to....as we have never met. But...give credit where credit is due - he definitely knows what he is doing. (Thank you kid, for not sweating on mine during assembly!) Furthermore...if you are in search of a mask, needing one you can rely on while doing your job, look no further. I may order more right now, in hopes that the same kid is still working hard to meet his quota! But doing so with pride, which is clearly obvious when inspecting mine.

Conforms nicely, big goggles can be worn over glasses comfortably, filters kinda smell.
Simple enough to not need instructions which is good cause it came without any. Love the goggles they fit great and don't fog up. The mask is easy to adjust but the quick release straps kinda pull it down toward my chin and the regular one with the ring holds just fine on it's own without being too tight so I just leave the quick release ones alone. I mean, you still have to pull it over the goggles or remove them to get it off your face no matter what and you can pull it away from the face slightly easier if you feel you need some open air if you just leave those straps undone. That might just be cause of my heads shape, though. My chin is practically flat so others might not have that problem. The filters twist on and lock in nicely without any snagging and they don't budge even a little bit once they're threaded to the end so I doubt they will loosen from standard use. One thing about those filters, though is once I put them on and tried the mask out, it smells kinda chemically almost like fumes from Oil Paint. I used to paint as a hobby and the walnut oil I used as a thinning agent gave off a similar smell. I'm taking them off and setting them aside to air out but if it's still there after a day or 2 it's probably not gonna come out. I mean it's not like I can wash them. It's definitely from the filters, too it's not the plastic or latex that makes up the general construction of the mask. Once the filters came off, no smell.
