I recently saw this product (along with a few others) recommended by Dr Rhonda Patrick and decided that I need to add Omegas to my supplementation regimen. I don't expect to feel a difference right away, but the science on this that she presented (and other science that has been around for many years!) Seems clear that its very beneficial. According to her, there ARE superior brands and this is one of them. If I'm going to supplement, I want the best bang for my buck, and I believe I'm getting that.

I've recently started taking various supplements, including two Omega-3 Fish Oil products - this OmegaVia fish oil supplement, and another product from OmegaVia - their EPA 500 Pharmaceutical Grade EPA Omega-3 supplement. I take one gel of each daily to provide a suitable supplement of all forms of Omega-3.These 'softgel' capsules are relatively large and contain a healthy dosage of Omega-3 -- 1105 mg total Omega-3, with 780 mg EPA Omega-3, 260 mg DHA Omega-3, and 65 mg 'other' Omega-3. The large quantity of Omega-3 avoids the need to take multiple capsules in order to get the same total dosage.There are a wide variety of Omega-3 supplement products available on Amazon and elsewhere. I selected this product for the following reasons:- this OmegaVia Omega-3 supplement is independently tested for purity and potency by IFOS - the "International Fish Oil Standards Program" - to provide assurance that it contains what is claimed. I feel that this is very important.- this is a US-made product- percentage of EPA Omega-3 per capsule is very high (85%) so that the capsule size is not unnecessarily large in order to contain the amount of fish oil and Omega-3 to be delivered- capsules are enteric coated- cost per capsule is reasonable and competitiveFor a very comprehensive technical comparison of this product to other Omega-3 supplements available on Amazon, I recommend reading RWM's review. He has provided a very extensive analysis.I'm also impressed that OmegaVia has a very informative website with considerable information on the company and its products. The company executives are all identified, the company address is given, and contact information is provided. This is a welcome display of transparency in an industry where many companies seem to be selling questionable products and provide very limited information regarding their operations. The company also sells direct from their website - pricing is competitive with Amazon if you order multiple quantities, and shipping is free.I have not yet used these supplements for sufficient time to determine whether or not they are effective in reducing my triglycerides as claimed. I do not have a triglycerides problem but decided to take supplements as part of an overall program to improve my health and avoid problems as I grow older. I will update this review in 6 months or so if there is anything significant to mention regarding any effect I may see in my own health.

Convenient, one pill a day serving size. No aftertaste. High concentration.Would like to see in larger 90-120 days container sizes.

This is well reviewed, a good form of Omega 3s, and independently tested by a lab I have a membership to. Best of all, this is literally the ONLY fish oil supplement I've ever tried that has resulted in zero fishy burps. Not even one, ever. I'm waiting on my Omega 3 blood test results and will adjust the dose accordingly.

Even though this is a larger pill, it is easy for me to swallow.

I have been checking around and these are the facts that made me decide to purchase and recommend OmegaVia fish oil instead of the other brands.Pros1) Highest omega 3/serving.OmegaVia has the highest total Omega 3 per ONE capsule compared to other brands. So you take less pills.( Total: 1105 mg with EPA: 780mg, DHA: 260mg). Most other brands that comes close, usually requires two capsules/serving.2) Made and sourced in the USA and sustainable certified.OmegaVia is certified sustainable from Marine Stewardship Council.The product is made from Whiting and Pollock from Alaska, USA. Others, sourced from other countries anywhere from Norway to Peru to Canada. My main concern is the brands that do not list their country they sourced their fish from might be coming from China.3) The enteric capsule gelatin shell is made from Kosher/Halal bovine gelatin, which to me, is a bonus.(Listed ingredients: Gelatin,Purified Water,Glycerin,Natural Enteric Coating,Mixed Natural Tocopherols)Cons.1) Expensive.2) Capsule size is slightly large. To me, it is a non-issue for it is about the same size of a multi-vitamin that I am also currently taking. I am currently on my second bottle. Last cholesterol check in January, my total cholesterol number was 104, with LDL of 31. I am sure it is also because I try to eat healthy. But I am also sure that this supplement helps. I highly recommend this product.
