Rock solid... pliers recommended!
The frame advertises no-tool assembly and that is true however, if you are planning on leaving the bed in place permanently/long-term then I recommend tightening it up with pliers. The frame is not heavy, the box and contents easily moved about by one person. I assembled it myself and it was quite simple, though I read up on the reviews and took tips of another customer since really the instructions are lacking with this product by the manufacturer. Here's what I did:Remove two frame halves from box and lay "topside" down on carpeted floor.Stand up all legs. Using center nuts and bolts, attach two frame halves together.Locate nuts and bolts for leg supports... this is the important part and not mentioned in the directions.Secure all legs with supports and turn nuts and bolts by hand. I do not use pliers at this point because there isn't enough space for turning while on floor.Turn bed rightside up and then use pliers to tighten all nuts and bolts extra firm. One person assembly approx 20 mins. because of the extra time for the tightening. This will leave you with a rock solid foundation frame that does not require a box spring. I have mine paired with a traditional innerspring mattress with pillowtop. The mattress is kind of old and the frame definitely adds to the comfort. The bed is tall, with a deep mattress do not even entertain the idea of getting a topper for it (which I was considering) unless you wish to add steps to your bedside! I think it will hold nicely until I break down and get a new mattress. There is some question if using a foam mattress you may wish to have a board underneath as platform. Sounds sensible.Full grown adult can stand on it, kids can jump on it. It does not move or squeak (I think the pliers make the difference on that) and no end tipping, as we have experienced with standard metal frame and box spring mattress setup. This is much more solid than traditional setup and very well worth the price. Granted I have been using the frame for a couple of weeks only so far but it's not budged or given any bit of trouble so far and I don't expect that it will. If anything changes or I experience any trouble down the road I would certainly update my review accordingly. As it stands I give this five stars and would recommend to anyone. I will never buy another box spring. YAY! If your needs require you moving rooms or apartments, etc. this is a lot easier to get through hallways and maneuver stairs. However, the longer you plan to stay in one place the more comfortable I would feel with all the extra tightening. Otherwise I might not have done it quite so tight but still, the pliers can take apart as easy as it was assembled I'm sure.

Simple and gets the job done
I purchased this to fit a newly bought mattress. It is essentially two (2) twin sized frames that screw together. 95% of this product is assembly free. You simply have to attach some support to the legs to help make sure they stay down and to screw the two sections of frames together (I believe it was with a bolt and wingnut) So far I've had this frame for several months and it seems durable. It's holding my queen pillowtop mattress with no problems. Also, I like that it has about a 13" clearance from the frame to the floor. This is great to use under the frame as storage. In an apartment that lacks storage, this is amazing. I simply bought some bins to use for storage and slide them right under the bed to help save space.I would definitely buy this again.

Simple to assemble but not good
The frame is easy to assemble. It does require some sort of ply-wood board over it. It does n't totally eliminate box spring as advertised. Without the ply-wood support, it sags after some use. The welded joints at the end also starts detaching. I suggest, they better had used net type support in the middle besides the metal bars.

Outstanding Bed Frame!
This is one of the best products I've purchased on Amazon. The frame came well packaged in 2 evenly sized pieces, with 2 simple double-ended wing nuts to attach the pieces together to create the queen-sized unit. It took about 2 minutes to do that one step - it's relatively light-weight yet amazingly strong! There's absolutely NO sag to it at all because of all the cross bars on it, and as advertised the legs fold out and lock securely and effortlessly. Storage will be fantastic since it folds up so small and into 2 pieces, easy for anyone to carry.Depending on how heavy you are (I'm 6'0 320 right now), you will need a pretty substantial mattress because the thing is so sturdy and supportive. I'm quite confident it would support the 1200 lbs it claims! I'm putting a light weight fold out sofabed on top of it, and then adding a couple layers of memory foam to make a sort-of bed while I have a guest for a couple of weeks. And of course you can use it with any queen bed set, and I believe there are holes to attach head boards too.$150.00 or so with shipping seemed like alot for just a bed frame until I actually saw it - WELL WORTH IT and highly recommended!

Great product but not for every type of mattress
Item arrived when expected, and was generally a snap to put together - I was able to do it by myself. I had problems getting one of the butterfly screws off (to brace the legs), so it might be useful to have a small pair of pliers handy when putting it together. The frame is surprisingly sturdy without weighing a ton; it is easy to lift and move around. Considering how unwieldy moving a boxspring is, I think this is a great alternative. The one thing I will say is, for the queen size, this is essentially two smaller beds screwed together. I have an 8" inner-coil futon mattress on it, and if I sit up on the center, I can sometimes feel the ridge from where the beds are fused together down the main crossbeams. I generally sleep on one side of the bed, so I don't really notice this, but if you sleep in the center (or roll all over the place in your sleep, I think a thicker mattress would be better suited for this frame.

Really awesome bed frame
Now...I am not one to rave about bed frames, but let me tell you...this one is awesome. We were looking for an alternative to a box spring and we wanted some height off of our floor. Not only is this product reasonably priced, it's also light-weight and sturdier than I imagined it being. I was skeptical when I took it out of the box because it was so light, but I have had this sucker for a few weeks now, and it gives my mattress the firmness I was looking for and it can easily withstand the vigorous jumping on the bed that my child enjoys. If you are between this product and a regular box spring...don't think twice and just get this. You will be happy that you did. An added plus is that it's super portable (unlike a box spring)! I think this is an amazing invention.
