I have a waterblock on my 3090 FE, and I also have a ram waterblock mounted to the backplate to help cool the rear memory. My block and backplate call for 2mm thermal pads in between the memory chips and the backplate. I ended up substituting those pads for 1mm pads and 1mm copper shims. My memory temperatures are now 15C lower than with the stock pads.Some of the edges were rough, but a quick pass on some 600 grit made they perfectly flat. Thickness was also pretty dead on at 1mm.Highly recommended!

Great for cooling MOSFETS and VRM chips on your laptop or other electronics. Just add bit of thermal paste or thermal pad and you can cool components that your PC manufacturer didn't think it was worth their time or effort to add heat sinks to cool. These are small enough to fit into tight spaces on a PC motherboard. The only criticism I have is that these are well smoothed out. It's pretty clear they are just stamped squares because one side is smooth while the other side has sharp perforation corners. An easy fix if you have some sand paper to smooth it out, but an extra step and extra run to the store if you don't have it. Because the have the raised edges, they are not reversible and you have to make sure you use the smooth side or else it won't make proper contact with the heated surface.

The parts I ordered were 1.0mm thick. I do not have a measuring tool but they measured less than 1mm beside a measuring tape. IMO these were 0.8mm thick, noticeable.I had to use extra thermal paste to fill the gap and was slightly disappointed.Works better than a thermal tape for transferring heat! Would buy again, though I might buy thicker than advertised

Never got around to using these but I figured since it came as advertised. pretty good finish on these. For those OCD types then yeah you can lap it a bit more for a better finish. but otherwise it's a good enough finish for a quick install

I liked these very much. They have just the right amount of thickness to stay in there and conduct heat to the cooling device. Much better option than using just the paste. Highly recommended.

Smaller than I was thinking, but true to the description. Check your measurements before ordering. Used them to further cool my tablet soc and it worked perfectly.

This is EXACTLY what you need to replace pads. I used these on a laptop, and it lowered the temperatures by min of 10c. Highly recommend.
