no, hurts like heck since needle goes tru wound and open nerve endings. tried it once... nope docs are much better at it. also heating to 170*f to sterilize (autoclave) would ruin tread. just search for a emt sucure kit and that's got everything to do the job $20 minus adrenaline or novacane.

Yes it can be used for sewing waistbands as it is very strong. I have used it for all my heavy duty sewing needs.

Q: Can it be used for a trampoline

Polyester is a good choice for outdoor but there are polyester threads with weather and UV resistance that may be a better choice. And they will actually include that notation on the spool label.
