Quality paint

Great paint for models of all kind. It will stick to primer very well and has very good scratch resistancy. Usually ready to be used for airbrushing straight out of the jar. Depending on detail - a bit of thinning with water might be necessary. Using a regular brush one needs to be careful not to lay it on too thick as it build quickly. As always better a few thin coats than one thick one.XF is the flat version - the paint is very flat which is great for clothing, landscape etc - it can easily be altered to high gloss semi gloss etc by applying the appropriate top coat.The X series is the gloss version and I found it to be ok for a more semi gloss look if one paints cars and wants a real "show-room finish" it's better to use an actual high gloss top coat.All in all excellent paint.

Good

This stuff has a noticeably duller sheen than Testors flat black enamel model paint, but it's also a bit more gray in color when lighting is face on. This stuff is good if you just want a very dull close-to-black color, but don't necessarily need pure black. Testors appears blacker in more lighting angles, but also has a brighter sheen in certain lighting angles.

The (Tamiya flat black paint) impresses with its smooth and consistent application. Its intense pigmentation ensures an opaque and even finish, making it a reliable choice for various hobby projects. The 0.77-ounce quantity is generous and offers excellent value for money, lasting through multiple uses. Moreover, the paint dries relatively quickly, reducing the risk of smudging and allowing for faster project completion expecially for my action figures. However, some users have reported issues with the packaging, as the lid can be difficult to open or close securely, leading to potential spills and wastage. There is a very low probability that this kind of thing will happen, but if it does happen, it may be due to the carelessness of the customer.Additionally, the paint's consistency tends to be a bit thicker than desired, necessitating thinning before use and causing occasional clogging in airbrushes. Another drawback is the limited color range available in this particular pack, which may not cater to the diverse needs of certain modelers or artists.

Most of the small parts from the models I build are painted flat black,
