Comotomo Four Pack Bottle 150ml/5oz., Green

After trying several different brands and types of baby bottles, this one is the winner by a long shot. In summary, they have the magic combination of being both vented AND easy to clean. Let me explain... Due to some challenges with nursing we have been feeding our little one exclusively from bottles (with pumped breast milk), so we have had plenty of opportunity to try different bottles! The first bottles we used were non-venting, which turned out to be a big mistake. By the time our little one was a few weeks old she had developed such a strong suck that she would create a vacuum inside inside the bottle as she drank, which would cause the nipple slowly to collapse. Several times each feeding we would have to pull the nipple gently to one side of her mouth to break the seal and allow the nipple to re-expand. Obviously these mid-feed interruptions did not make her happy! Next we tried a well-known brand of vented bottles which vent via a thin tube that extends all the way down through the center of the bottle. Although these bottles solved the suction problem, each one had four separate pieces, two of which contained tiny internal tubes. Cleaning all these small parts was cumbersome to say the least, and the thought of doing it multiple times per day filled me with a sense of despair I just couldn’t shake. There had to be a vented bottle that wasn’t so difficult to clean! Enter the Comotomo bottle (accompanied by rays of sunshine and a renewed sense of hope). This was the answer! What makes this bottle so great? 1. The bottle is vented very simply, via two tiny “valves” on the sides of the nipple, so the whole bottle has just THREE pieces: the bottle itself, a nipple, and a plastic ring which secures the nipple to the bottle. No small parts to get lost! 2. The wide-mouth design and lack of tiny tubes make these VERY easy to clean. 3. The lightly textured silicone body has a non-slip quality which makes the bottle easy to grip. 4. They don’t leak (at least, WE have never had a problem with them leaking) 5. They have a cool, modern design (this is subjective and a matter of opinion, but still…). I can really only find one “negative” to these bottles, and it’s really not so much a fault but rather a characteristic due to their shape. As the bottle’s contents are being consumed, if the bottle is held at a 45-degree angle or so, the last bit of liquid will pool at the top-side of the bottle instead of flowing into the nipple (see my photo). This isn’t a big deal, as all you have to do is tilt the bottle more upright briefly and the liquid will move into the nipple, but it is something to watch as the bottle gets close to empty. Oh, and it’s not obvious from the product photos, but these bottles DO have volume markings on them. They are inconspicuous but still easy to read. We are VERY happy with these bottles.

My baby is 4 months old and has been using these bottles since he was a week old. They are really great for switching in between breast and bottle which is wonderful because my last baby was exclusively breast fed, and these make it more helpful that someone else can feed him sometimes also!

After trying a few different baby bottles for my breastfed baby, the Comotomo was the winner. Baby latches on to the nipple easily, and it's nice to have the ability to squeeze to express a little milk from it. The slow flow nipple that comes with the 5 oz is perfect (still using at almost 4 months old). The downside is that it is difficult to heat properly, so we have to heat milk in the storage bottle/bag first. Also because of the nipple's wide base shape, it's difficult to get the right angle in order to get the last drops when feeding in the car. (Not a deal breaker, though!) It's easy to clean – just be sure to check the instructions on Comotomo's website. Assembly is quick and easy. It's soft and light enough for baby to hold on his own when he gets to that stage. There's no worry about breakage if dropped, and no plastic touches baby's feeding!

Love these bottles. The wide mouth makes them super easy to clean. The bottle is silicone so it won't crack over time like plastic will nor do I have to worry about the breaking like the glass bottles can. Their shape also gives them a higher surface area compared to the typical bottle shape and so they absorb heat faster and heat up more quickly. The shape of the nipple encourages a baby to latch on with a wide mouth which encourages that same shape on the breast; helping them to transition between breast and bottle more readily. My twins were born premature at 27 weeks and we are currently using these while we transition to breastfeeding and they don't seem to be having any issues with nipple confusion. So I definitely recommend.

These bottles are amazing! They are the only bottles I have used for my 2 children. They love the feel of the silicon bottle. These work well for babies who are also breastfeeding. Highly recommend!

These bottles are going to be great! I love that these bottles are so well made. Unlike the Playtex bottles I used with my last child, there are only 3 parts: the bottle, the ring that the nipple goes into, and the nipple. The 5oz bottles come with the nipple for newborns. These also appear to be incredibly easy to clean. I don't think I'll even need a bottle brush. I love the squishy softness of the bottle itself. They also have handles you can buy separately for when baby is old enough to hold bottle without help. My son is not born yet, so I Haven't had a chance to try these out yet. Will update later on.

My go to bottle for my babies. I’ve used these with two kids now while also nursing and they had no problem switching between the two. They do take quite a while to heat up in a bottle warmer due to the material though.

My kiddo was 2 weeks when we decided to start her on learning a bottle. These have been perfect for us, and she is able to switch between bottle and breast like a champ. Bonus they are super easy to clean, only have 3 parts, and I generally just throw in the dishwasher (but can be easily hand washed as well). Overall definitely recommend!
