Coach Yourself to Success : 101 Tips from a Personal Coach for Reaching Your Goals at Work and in Life Review: Yes, it sounds cheesy, but this book really can change your life. - One of the best investments you can make for yourself. This book can change your life, and yes, I know that sounds all dramatic and pretty much the premise of any self-help book, but here are some things to consider: --It's the only self-help book I've bought again and again so that I could share the wisdom and ideas with my friends (without sacrificing my own precious copy). --While you will find yourself eventually living a gloriously abundant life, the book is designed to meet you at any stage in the process. Start small. Start big. Totally transform your life or just make little tweaks to enjoy life more. --The ideas are transferable to any situation. This isn't one of those books that you will read, thinking that two-thirds of what is said doesn't apply to you. Nope, these are tips with universal application. --It's not overwhelming or scary. You don't have to go in any order. Just pick something and do it. --Plenty of examples and stories to help you "see" how this works in real life. It's also inspiring to hear about other's successes. A couple of warnings: --many of the tips seem so simple and common-sensical that you might be tempted to roll your eyes and toss the book. DON'T DO IT! Even if it seems trivial, give it a shot. Cleaning your bedroom just might be the key to finding love/landing your dream job/resolving old anguish. Don't knock it 'till you try it. And if one idea just doesn't speak to you, try one of Talane's other suggestions. --there is a little bit of redundancy here & there, but it flows adequately with the book. In other words, it doesn't come off like laziness; it feels like these are such important points they bear repeating. --you will probably want to subscribe to Talane's website, buy more more books, and generally implement all of her good advice once you start seeing the benefits. Since reading this book--and re-reading it a few times--I've switched to a higher paying job, completed a graduate degree, bought a new house, made changes in my family life that have greatly increased our happiness, made better financial decisions, and really, truly enjoy each day more as I keep "perfecting the present." And whenever I start to feel some angsty emotional restlessness, I pick up this book again and figure out what I can do to break out and move to the next level. Review: Get the book! I love it - I LOVE this book! I already owned one copy and k bought my friend a copy! Definitely a self help book. Can’t recommend it enough!

Yes, it sounds cheesy, but this book really can change your life.

All the information in this nook was relevant at the time I purchased it. Good common sense.

I bought this cook for my daughter, but am using it myself and making all kinds personal progress
I have been coached by Life Coaches among others and hold a certificate in Life Coach myself. So, when I read about this book, and looked up the Author, I knew she was something special. As I'd been helping my daughter find a Life Coach to hire for herself, I thought this book was a good start. It is so well written and so immediately helpful that I am surprised it doesn't have higher rankings, but that is a function of marketing, isn't it. I own so very many books, and this is one of the most useful ones I have read. It is for anyone who wants to improve their life, and there is always room for improvement. I also admire the way it is written, so well done, the language and stories are engaging and it is truly a pleasant book most people will be able to read through completely and actually put to good, immediate , use.

Talane is a great author, and it would be my privilege if ...
This book is a lifesaver!!! Literally. I found it in my work library, and couldn’t let go of it, until I made my husband (who travelled to the States at the time) to buy it and ship it to his hotel, so that I could have it here, in Australia!!! What a trip this book made…. It helped me and still does to re-evaluate my life and how I want to further develop my career and myself. Believe it or not – I realised that I want to become a life coach myself. Yes, just by reading this book. This was quite an eye opener for me. If you need motivation and inspiration to move forward and to make your dreams a reality – this book will certainly help you to achieve this. Talane is a great author, and it would be my privilege if I could meet her one day!!

You could be a life coach with this and change a person's life that easily.
I'm amazed at the quality of information in this book. You could literally make yourself a life coach after reading this book and help transform a person's life area by area by just using this one book. Big improvements made simple inside. Each section is a very quick read and fun and inspiring to get to work on making deep life changes through. I appreciate the coaching at just the cost of a book. Thank you.

Buy it! You will not regret it!
I was skeptical about purchasing a book with 101 points for life coaching but I am so glad that I did. It came with a free month of the premier subscription which unfortunately I haven't used. I am reading the book, however. I'm taking my time, as I am reflecting and implementing. I'm weeding out those little things that annoy me and I have undertaken a major decluttering process. I've made great progress thus far and my husband and children are loving the changes. After completing more than half of my decluttering project, I mentioned to a friend that I would like to take on a short term contract work arrangement - no more than three months though. 2 days later, I got a call from another friend telling me that a friend wanted to know if I would be interested in a temporary position with her firm. The position is for 3 months and I begin in 2 days!

Lots of good ideas and tips for making changes in your life ...
Lots of good ideas and tips for making changes in your life -- good for people who can make decisions when presented with lots of information. More difficult for people who "don't know where to start". Miedaner does state a person should start by clearing out all their clutter to free up time and energy for the real work. But the behaviors that created the clutter and time wasters can keep a person from getting past step one. I would recommend using the book more like a menu - pick the easiest quickest thing that might make a difference in your life and start there. I help people with disabilities explore their vocational options and this is in my client library.

This book is AMAZING. I read a lot of books but they rarely impress me so much that I decide to keep them. This one I kept. It is 101 tips presented in 101 short chapters and it is full of practical advice that packs a big punch. To give you an idea, some of the categories delved into are energy and clutter, career and money, health and beauty, Law of Attraction and social and communications I don't want to give away too much of the book because it really is excellent and has the potential (if you use it) to be life changing. But some of the tips offered here that really stood out as original and life-changing are: 1) Clear away all clutter that doesn't bring you joy, 2) Reinvent your Goals list to get rid of all of your "should" goals or turn them into more exciting goals that you'll actually be motivated to do 3) When communicating with anyone, turn complaints into requests 4) LoA paradoxes- Are we supposed to be completely detached from, or focus intently and work non-stop on what we want? And how to detach from our desires/outcomes 5) Sort out things that bother you about your physical appearance once and for all- cos it subtly drains energy 6) Follow the signs of the universe - what is it trying to tell you? 7) Practical steps to take to banish fears 8) Design your career around your lifestyle- not the other way round 9) Cast lots of pebbles- instead of chasing success, cast lots of fishing rods and see which ones bite 10) Write your goal down 15x a day Thank you Talane for such an excellent book. It really is life-changing and I will keep this book and use it whenever I need to. 5*
