Works great for diving up vacuum-sealed bags of food for freezer
I store a lot of food in my freezer, whether meats I've sous-vided, veggies I've frozen, or even things like croissants and such. I vaccum-seal them all in standard sous vide bags, so that I don't ever have to worry about freezer burn -- it doesn't matter whether I reheat that croissant in the toaster oven 5 days later or 10 months later. But I generally want to reheat just a single portion -- a single steak, a pair of chicken thighs, a single croissant. But using my vacuum sealer to vacuum and seal both sides of each individual steak, each individual croissant, takes forever. So I do them in a long row -- a single long bag with 5 steaks spaced out, or 8 croissants spaced out. I seal them at once, then I use this to create seals *in the middle* of the bag, in between each individual item. This way I can cut open the end or cut off a single pouch and reheat a single portion without breaking the seal on all of them, and I don't have to use my vacuum sealer again to re-seal the rest. This works great for that. It does exactly what I want.I was worried because I saw a lot of negative reviews about it not making a good seal, not making a consistent seal (better towards the hinge), or the bottom of the unit melting or something. In terms of making a good seal: you have to figure out the right number to use and hold it down long enough. E.g. my sous vide bags don't get a consistent seal on #2, but on #4 it's perfect. The light stays on for only about a second and that doesn't produce a good seal, but holding it down for 6 seconds produces a perfect seal. If you're not getting a good seal, increase the number and/or hold it down longer. In terms of consistency: there is no difference in the seal closer to the hinge or further away. But it does make contact close to the hinge first, so I have to guess this is people closing it and opening it slowly, and not holding it down for long enough in between. In terms of melting: I'm only use this to make 15 or 20 seals at a time. Nothing is getting hot or melting on the bottom, it's fine. I can't speak to whether you could use this to seal 1,000 packages in a row over the course of an hour though. Obviously at some point it might overheat, and I don't see any indication of a safety mechanism to automatically shut off once it gets above a certain temperature. So it works perfectly for me. My two main complaints are:1) The packaging is impossible to open, because they glue-gun the cardboard box shut, and the cardboard is extremely thick and heavy-duty. You basically have to destroy the box to open it which means a return would be an ugly thing.2) This thing is super ugly. It definitely looks like it belongs in a factory, and not an office or kitchen. I don't know why nobody manufactures an attractive version of this? DOTPRO sells an 8 inch one that's vastly more attractive, but sadly not a 12 inch one like this. But this does the job and it's inexpensive, so it works. Even though it's ugly, I'll still give it 5 stars since it's obvious from the photos that it's ugly. I knew what I was getting.

Easy to use, filament lasts, has led indicator that works
I had tried two other impulse dealers from Amazon and returned them. The leds did not light up when plugged in, only when sealing and I’m always nervous about accidentally leaving something plugged in. Also the heating filament on this model lasts a long time. I was able to seal and shrink wrap items for a charity function and have those items look professional. There is a heat knob at the end to help regulate the temp of the device. Especially useful if sealing different thickness of bags. However make sure you get the right replacement filaments for this model. Also when changing filaments use a magnetized screw driver. Screws are small and easily dropped into the sealer. You can get the screws out with some shaking but it can take time.

Great product and great price
I bought 2 of these sealers for my Job we really needed one that same day and was able to get the delivered same day which was amazing, the boss loved them he will always buy the expensive sealers and would stop working within 3 months. These are even better than the ones he usually gets and he was very impressed and happy with them thank you.

Easy to use but seems slightly flimsy
I had purchased this one because a previous unit I had purchased turned out to be on the small side for my needs. I had thought I was buying the same tool, but larger. I was wrong. This impulse sealer is lighter than the unit I already had and has a thinner cord. In addition, the impulse heat engages before the arm is pushed fully into position, so that it is possible to miss the impulse if you pause for a moment to readjust the position of the item you are sealing before pressing the arm fully down. That said, it works well to seal cellophane. I have not used it long enough to comment on long-term durability.

Works well. Experiment with a sample piece, if possible.
The heat sealer arrived in a well-sealed box in perfect condition. The instructions that came with the unit were clear; Runrui supplemented those instructions with a message through Amazon to me that reinforced their written instructions. My initial use of this product was to apportion vacuum seal bags into more usable sizes. Following the instructions, I started at lower temperatures and worked my way up to higher temperatures. My suggestion to users of this product is to experiment with a sample piece of the bag that you are trying to seal before using the bag. While the bags were closed at the lower temperatures, the seal at those temperatures were not quite airtight. After some experimentation, I was able to select an appropriate temperature and the machine works very well. I wipe the heating strip with a small dry cloth after many uses to keep it clean. My suggestion to Runrui is that if they have experimented with various name brand bags of their own to provide their findings to purchasers. Users' results may vary from Runrui's findings, but it could provide a better starting point for their own bags.

Good sealer!
Does exactly what it says it does, the sealer has a knob to adjust the time before it automatically turns off. Came with additional thermal seal for when the seal starts to wear out. I was buying a local brand for five times more and never thought I would find such a great alternative value/feature wise. It works! Sealed my Oreo's bag with no issues and also use it for vacuum sealer bags to make new bags before running them through the vacuum sealer later. No leaks. Careful not to set the time too high as it will burn the plastic rather than just create a seal.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely terrible.1. They sent me used. I have proof. (Photo) It had glitter on the inside and also had a torn-off sticker from a previous customer.2. The most important. It doesnt work! I know how to use selaer because i use it at work. So this sealer doesnt work!
