Perfection.
I am an active outdoorsman. Hiking. Trail running. Camping. Etc. I own this micro-fleece toque ( Canadian for a fuzzy watch cap ) in every colour. It is soft, warm and snug. Doesn't pill up when washed a bunch of times. These are great for on the trail and on the street. They look great and most importantly THEY DON'T ITCH!! Nothing worse than sweating while running wearing some wool cap or worse some crappy acrylic cap. Even merino wool is a little irritating when I sweat. Not these. Pure Softness with no bulk. A+.

Great cap.
For starters, it fit my head perfectly covering all the way past my ears. I do not know my exact head size as I have not measured it in years(I shave my head now and used to have dreads down past my shoulders). I have the black watch cap and it is warm. I am going into law enforcement and this is perfect because it doesn't show any logos. I highly recommend it. ETA: My initial review stated that I felt a slight breeze in the hat. Well after further testing today and tonight(30F), I found that the breeze came from a small gap underneath from behind my head. I was not outside for long periods of time and I will update my review once I get to be outside for at least 30min. I still stand by my statement that this cap is well worth the money.

Perfect! All my other beanies are going in the trash!
This is a great beanie! I always seem to have a hard time wearing a beanie. They ride up so I'm always pulling them down to cover my ear lobes. The constant pulling and riding really does a number on my hair and after a short while my head itches to the point that I just stop wearing them. This beanie does none of that. It is large enough to cover my ear lobes, without being too large and the material is elastic enough to squeeze gently on my head and stay in place. The fleece is comfortable and breathes well while keeping my head warm. I bought this beanie for an upcoming hunt and loved it so much I bought two more in different colors.

It also sticks to my head like velcro after a haircut
Not the same size as the current Military issue black fleece cap, these run a bit small. I actually prefer this cap for my fat dome over the military version, however. The military issue version covers below my earlobes, and over part of my cheeks, so whenever I look up, or talk, the cap starts to walk up my face, and I find I am constantly adjusting it back into position (and the regulation governing clothing actually requires you to keep it on your head a certain way). The constant readjustment is a pain when I'm trying to conduct PT. The Condor cap is about 3/4" shorter, and fits tighter, so I have to adjust it much less often. It also sticks to my head like velcro after a haircut, which is a great feeling. The Condor label is sewn flat inside, so it doesn't bother me like the tag on the mil-spec version (although to be fair, I could just cut that out...) The fleece has not started pilling (I've had it about a year and a half in Colorado, so it gets used ALOT), and as far as I can tell it's the same fabric as the army version. Condor's apparel has always been top notch, held up well for me in the woods and kept me warm. This cap is no exception. Just wish it was a smidge bigger, but not quite as big as the mil version.

Coyote Brown is legit - warm and lightweight
I got the Coyote Brown (WC-498) and the color matches my other AR 670-1 gear. The Condor cap has double the material sewn over the ears, actually has a lot of material that covers the ears. I tried the Carhartt brand of watch caps and they only have a narrow band of folded material (like 1" width) whereas the Condor has 4". The Michigan winter hasn't kicked in yet, we're in deep deep fall and the temps dropped to 20F with a 10F windchill, and this cap alone kept my head and ears warm. I used to wear thick knit caps, earmuffs, covers, etc... and this cap did the trick with minimal bulk. I highly recommend it if you don't already have an issued Coyote brown beanie (which is now authorized for wear with combat uniform as per CSA). AR 670-1 is supposed to be revised in 2020 to reflect this change.

This is the best cheap hat in the world.
This is maybe the most comfortable winter hat I have ever worn. It's also incredibly warm. I use this for my 12 hour patrols and it protects me well against a variety of harsh winter elements. However, the part that really surprises me is that this hat beats out several much more expensive hats I own. In terms of comfort, effectiveness, and economics, this hat sets the bar very high and may even be unbeatable.

Well-made cap, but a little small
I'm rating this with 3 stars because (as the rating scale indicates) it's okay. It's actually a pretty good product, but it's a tad small for what I'm looking for, so I returned it. People who don't mind the size (bigger than Rothco watch caps) will find a very warm cap for a good price. Evaluation: I always compare watch caps with the Army-issued PT cap. Compared to the issued watch cap, this Condor watch cap is: * thicker (2 layers) - your head will feel very warm * slightly smaller - I wear a 7 3/8'' hat and without stretching, this covers my ears, but it's on tight like a skull cap. It's not as loose as the PT cap. It's just a tad shorter and smaller, but not micro-sized like the Rothco watch caps. People with smaller heads or don't want giant caps will likely enjoy this cap. Here are some measurements (excuse my amateur terminology): * Condor watch cap * "head-band" circumference - 22.5'' * "alice band" (half circumference) - 16.5'' * seam-to-bottom - 3'' * issued cap * "head-band" circumference - 23'' * "alice band" (half circumference) - 18'' * seam-to-bottom - 3.75''

Just your average beanie type hat. Warm, comfortable and can easily be stowed away in a pocket if you don't need it.
