Perfect for school lunches
I originally got these at Target but they always ran out and I found them on Amazon so I stocked up. Perfect to keep fresh fruit and veggies cold and sandwich stays dry on the bottom.

Small fits in my daughters back pack so she does not have to bring an extra lunch box.
Small fits in my daughters back pack so she does not have to bring an extra lunch box. Cold pack is helpful. Only thing is the lid is hard to get on some times. Have to jiggle or hammer it on. I don’t think it is leak proof

These are great for packing my kid's lunches.
I already own 2 of these, and ordered 2 more since my daughter will start needing to pack lunch too. They are great for packing lunches! I love that the ice pack fits inside and clicks into place. I have used my original two for 4 yrs and they are still as good as new! I also like that a sandwich can actually fit in this, unlike a lot of the bento boxes made for children.

Great product but didn’t fit in her lunch bags
Bought this for my daughter for school lunches, but it was my fault that this thing is so massive. It doesn’t fit into her lunch bad at all either one of her’s. I kept it anyway as a way to bring snacks in the car or while we are out. My daughter is 5yr. old. It’s easy for me to put in my purse and go and keeps orange slices, apples, strawberries, and even other dry snacks organized in the container without the fear of them leaking all over my purse. I like that you can remove the ice packs. I bought a three pack years ago and I see that the quality is still great. Great buy even if it was the wrong size. Consumer error.

Not for young kids
Bought for my kindergartner to take his lunches to school and these fit perfectly in his new lunch box. Liked how the ice pack fit in so everything would stay nice and cold. Unfortunately it was impossible for him to open after it had been washed in the dishwasher. Looked like things warped slightly, but just enough to make it impossible to open without holding it sideways (and everything in the tray falling out). Would return if I could. Don't recommend to wash in the dishwasher, even top shelf.

Just what I was looking for!
"I wish I could find a decent compartmented food container with, like, built-in ice packs for when I'm traveling . . ." Not surprisingly, I found exactly that on Amazon! I've had this container for a couple of months and mainly use it to bring lunch to jobs where I won't have access to a fridge to store food. The compartments are good sizes for a variety of items. Construction is sturdy, and its easy to clean. The lid has two sections for the included ice packs to snap in and out. The main reason I'm writing this review is to disagree with others who have claimed that the ice packs are difficult to insert and remove. They're not. I almost didn't buy this because the reviews suggested it was one of those items that "doesn't quite work". Whether thawed or frozen, the ice packs snap into the lid very easily and can be removed by simply applying some pressure to the clasps on either side of the ice pack. Very easy, very reliable.

Easily breaks
Upon seeing the product I actually liked it at first. Then my son used it the first time and accidentally knocked it off from the table at school which isn’t high. So the impact isn’t that strong and it broke right away. And yes, I know the table at school isn’t high because my son is in Kinder so the height of the table is for kids.

I got this for my son 6 year old asd. It's amazing not too hard to open. Stats cool for a long time. And deep to fit quit a bit of food. I recommend it to younger people

These insulated containers were an excellent addition to our stash of food storage products. They not only live up to their promise of keeping the enclosed foods at the appropriate temperature, they also exceeded expectations in a critical area: the leak test. ZERO LEAK! We cannot even say that about our supply of insulated beverage holders. In extensive use, we found that the Fit & Fresh Hot Lunch Container performed equally well for stews, mashed potatoes, beef tips with rice, fried chicken, and an array of goods in between. It was especially appreciated for transporting honey garlic wings, and the compartment in the bottom was great for holding the necessary wet wipes. Oh, wait, did I say something about a compartment in the bottom? Why, yes! The makers have included a compartment in the underside of the container that can be used for such things as napkins, condiment packets, etc. The carry handle is particularly sturdy, plus provides a little extra oomph when getting a tight seal on the twist-on lid. The included spoon is a nice benefit as well, particularly for children who attend "boomerang lunch" schools. (A "boomerang lunch" school is a school in which ALL waste from a child's lunch is returned home to the parent.) We found it was also quite sturdy and easily withstood the occasional drop on the floor. (Again, this exceeds our experience with insulated beverage containers.) I have exactly 2 improvement suggestions for Fit & Fresh regarding the Kids' Hot Lunch Container: 1. The spoon can be difficult to remove from the lid. We found this true with both units we purchased. Is it possible to manufacture them with a slightly looser grip on the spoon? Or perhaps with some mechanism for leveraging it loose easier? 2. The placement of the napkin compartment is potentially a minor problem for 2 reasons. The first is that it is obscured by the underside labeling - I wasn't even aware it was there until the 4th time they were used and washed. The second is that it might be messy if the lid is not firmly secured when a child turns over the container to take out the napkin (or other enclosed item). While I realize the placement of the spoon may preclude this, is any way to build this into the top of the container instead? Overall, I can honestly say these are the most heavily used lunch containers in our household. They are well-loved, and I plan to purchase more of them.
