I'm an old-school guy that loved my 500-watt halogens for painting, plastering and other projects -- until one of those old lights started tripping a GFCI circuit. I searched the web and found this Lutec light, and I am SO glad I bought it. The tripod stand is sturdy, the height adjustments easy, and the lights are plenty bright and easily adjusted to illuminate a work area. A key capability for me is the ability to point the lights downward to the floor or straight up to the ceiling. Over the past two months, I've prepped newly plastered ceilings and walls for priming, and then primed and painted those walls. While working, I set up the lights so I could have a raking light across the surface, enabling easy detection of plaster imperfections, roller lines, paint drips, etc. upping the quality of my work and minimizing "ooops" surprises after the work was done. The light stand is easy to move around - it's all aluminum, lightweight and very stable - and the lights themselves were simple to swivel into place. When I rolled paint from floor to ceiling, I positioned one light high on the wall and the other low, and had a nice, even coverage of light across the work surface. Each lights cast a fairly large flood area (rather than an eye-burning spot on a small area). I'd say the flood light cone is 30+ degrees. I have an appreciation of smart engineering and fine craftsmanship, and this light delivers both. From the compact folded design to the chunky heat sinks on the lights, to the switch, the swivels, the tripod legs, the finishing of the metal -- it's all there. Someone set out to make a light with enduring quality and they absolutely succeeded. This is not a paid or compensated review -- this is a real purchaser that is extremely happy with a product.

The reviews for this light were positive, but deferred judgement until I received it in person. The light is quick and easy to set up. One quickrealease tab to lower and unfold the tripod base and then lock it into place when deployed. The base legs are made of metal and feel sturdy. The base formed by the tripod legs is wide, making this light nice and stable. The top part of the stem also unlocks and locks with a quick relase tab for easy up and down extension. Out of the box, the two lights are folded up, facing each-other, which is also the storage position. Close examination reveals two strong little magnets at the top that keep the two lights together when stored. This is a very thoughtful design element, and minimizes damage to the LEDs when not in use or during transport. The position of the lights is adjustable in two axes, which makes it very verastile. Each light pod has its own light color temperature adjustment knob, from 3000K to 5000K. Found this very useful when selecting interior paint color to see what they would look like under various lighting conditions from incandescent to LED or fluorescent. Thes same adjustment knobs also can be pushed to cycle between 100%, 50% and off light intensity. The package ships with a small Allen wrench to tighten the rotation resistance of the light pods, and there's even a small storage space for it at the top of the stem with two little magnets to keep it in place and handy, along with built in power cord guide features. This light is very thoughtfully designed, practical, and easy to transport via the built-in handle, which is at the center of gravity of the lamp when all folded up. Had this light for a few weeks now and very happy with it so far.

I ordered this light to add some lighting in a pop-up shop. It was fantastic. Super bright, lightweight, easy to carry, easy to fold and unfold. I love the light.

Very bright light, lite up my 1200 sq ft basement well, even when placed in a corner. 20ft + well lite. Thick cable, looks like 14awg. Mostly good quality metal construction: lamp housing, stand. Thoughtful wire hook / holder at the base. folds compact. Things to improve: should add sockets near the bottom, double as extension, since the lamp uses just 100w of 1.5kw of cable power rating. The plastic parts could be made stronger. Only one on/off, should have individual on/off. While I don't care for color temp. change, add a dimmer would be nice. Lutec lists 15000 Lumen here and 12000 Lumen at their online store. Overall, you are paying for the folds compact yet powerful light; just wish it has a bit more function.

I'm an electrical contractor, this is the best jobsite light I ever owned!

One of the two LED heads came broken, in a good box. I contacted lutec customer support and they got back to me asking for more product information which I gave them on January 3rd 2024. It's been 6 days and I've heard nothing (Lutec saidn24 hpur response times. I've contacted through the Amazon website as well of the distributor and I'm waiting on their answer. (They promose 48 hrs) I'll edit this review to be a good product if I get decent service but so far not so good. I need a light and this was expensive.

Happy with this light. Seems sturdy and bright. Folds up and carries nice.

Like the light but there stand is not strong as they advertise I seen there pin came out and light fall down then i put it back and notice there is one side block another side there is nothing to stop the pin . So think it’s expensive if the stand pin fall somewhere you can not the stand .
