good unit
The camera works great. It may show coming with a DVD for the software, but mine did not. I was able to download a program (Toupview) and install it to get the camera working. I wrote to the company to see of they publish a manual, and they do not. There are help websites and videos out there, so it was not a deal breaker. Since there are no buttons on the camera, you definitely have to have it hooked up to a computer to work.

Great Value
This is a pretty good camera for a very low price. I bought this for work. We will likely use this to measure thermal spray coatings, analyze grain structure of materials, and take a look at weld quality. The calibration slide worked well for our application. Measure coating thickness on a known sample and measured the correct value. (This value was 0.008" so not incredibly small.)Please note these are my first impressions. I just unboxed and set this up today. I will update if anything changes. As for now, I'm extremely happy with this camera's capabilities for the price.First Edit - I wanted to get a longer USB A Male to B Male cord for this camera. This product is calibrated for the 6ft cable it comes with. I was overzealous and tried to purchase a 13ft cable. This one could not power the camera on. I ended up getting a 10ft braided one and it works. I'm not sure if I'm sacrificing quality or functionality of the camera by using this, but it works. Below is the link to the one that works for me:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HRSP9NY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Good value for the money
This is a quite decent product and gives a good indication of what spending 10x more might do for you. The image quality is very usably good; but not great. The software features like extended depth of field work good, but not great (although it possibly could be a bit better with better technique - but this is due the camera's slow response time and the scope not being rock solid - like only solid - that is to say it is a bit fiddily - the more you fiddle, the better it gets - to a point.)The main problem (hence 4-star rather than 5) is that it reverses the image left-to-right and not up-and-down; so, for me, it is impossible to work from the image on the screen - that, and the response time is too slow. However, for the money, it is well worth it.

Worth it
This digital camera for microscopes is worth the cost. So far I've played with both the still and video capture features with success. There are also photo-editing settings which are easy to reset by clicking the respective "Default" buttons so you can experiment to your heart's content without messing things up. The pictures attached include a prepared slide of a frog's liver at 40x microscope objective lens. Also included is a software screencap from my Windows 7 computer. Installation from the CD was a breeze. Just remember to click the camera from the list near the upper-left-hand corner in order to activate the ability to snap pictures. This is necessary even if there is only the one camera installed. Highly recommended. Now I'm going to grow some yeast cells! Perhaps my yeast can star in a web series now that I have video capture capabilities....

Incredible
Incredible~!~!~!~! No Cheap, but amazing. If you get this particular camera, (as opposed to the cameras with lower resolution), you are going to need a faster computer, maybe at least a 3.4ghz, maybe more. I mean, it will work on slower computers, but it will be draggy at higher resolutions. The picture I attached is a slide of blood that was showing up in my cats urine. Those round, white things are individual blood cells. And this was not even close to the highest resolution. (By the way, the image is not the true, original color because we artificially "stained" it so we could more clearly see everything.)

I absolutely love this camera
I absolutely love this camera. I received for Christmas a couple of years ago. I had to learn how to set up the software for the right exposure, frame rate, white balance, etc. It took awhile of trying various settings, once I got them figured out I am taking GREAT pictures and videos. I share them with my daughter who lives in another part of the country - we use Dropbox to share the videos and pictures and watch them together while on the phone. My only complaint is that at the time the price was $240 higher than it is now, but that's how it goes with being an early adopter.I also take my microscopes, camera, laptop, and display to a local Children's Home where we look at protozoa, insect larvae, flowers, etc together on the big screen.

Resolution is not high
We had an old 5 megapixel camera and since there has been great advancements in optics, we thought that the 18 MP camera offered by OMAX might have superior clarity and resolution. Using the same scope we compared the same images at the same magnification and provide it here for comparison for shoppers. When compared side by side, it is clear that the OMAX 19 MP camera does not have the same quality as a 5 MP camera.

LOW FRAMERATES
Sadly, I didnt know enough about framerates when I purchased this camera. The framerate specifications are as follows:Frame speed: 5.6fps at 4912x3684, 18.1fps at 2456x1842, 32.2fps at 1228x922Note that at the LOWEST resolution, it is only 32.2fps at best.If you need to record anything off your microscope with any level of detail, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT! I now have a completely useless , $500 camera..
