This tea kettle is absolutely perfect! Not only is it incredibly cute and stylish, but it also fits perfectly with our kitchen's interior design. We were specifically looking for an all-steel kettle, with no plastic, as we wanted something healthier for boiling water, and this one delivers on that front. As a tea lover, especially during winter when my family drinks hot and warm water all day, this kettle has become a staple in our home. We use it at least five times a day, and it's quickly become the most used appliance in the kitchen. The quality is excellent — it's durable, easy to use, and heats water quickly. For the price, it’s an outstanding value. I’m really impressed with how well it holds up and how simple it is to operate. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and health-conscious kettle!

I wrote a review early on but never submitted it. Now that the thing won't operate, the words below aren't worth a thing... Basically the connection is probably gunked up with minerals . Worked well for 15 months.I love this kettle. It's the third one since my old one died a slow death, and 3rd time is the charm.On/Off. Simple. Retro looking in red. Heats well. Pours great. I had tried a white European one that looked great on the counter, but I wasn't happy with how it sputtered and poured too much too quickly, so I sent it back. It wasn't a bargain, either.Then I got a beautiful glass model with all the bells and whistles of different temperatures and keep warm settings, but after a few weeks, it died quickly when something fell out of the cabinet above and broke the thing.This one is well priced and heats up about the same as the others. Just beware of the separate lid, the metal handle of which gets burning hot - In most cases, it's not necessary to touch it anyway unless you are filling up the carafe with cold water. For safety reasons, I guess, a replacement plastic handle is included, but the original is on so tightly that I just left it alone.Very happy with this purchase. I hope it has a long healthy life.UPDATE of course is that its on/off lever died after 15 monthsif daily use.

ASCOT blue tea kettle: The lid handle broke away from lid; Enamel chipping away from where lid meets opening of kettle, some chipping on sides of kettle, even with gentle care. Interior needs to be cleaned prior to nearly every use, even with filtered water. Nice style though would prefer a smaller size. Replacement kettle was damaged (dented)-- ASCOT customer service has failed to respond to this issue.

My primary requirement for this kettle is that there be no plastic or silicone exposed to water or steam. In addition, I was looking for as little plastic as possible in the overall design, so that ruled out insulated kettles. Some details:1. The green color - I was hoping for 1940's green, but the color is more a mint or pistachio green. I'm posting a photo showing a depression glass cup for comparison. It's a very subtle distinction; still very pretty and the paint is nicely applied.2. I'm therefore exchanging for the shiny stainless finish. I checked with the vendor; they confirmed the finish is polished stainless steel3. The filter in the spout can be popped out; it's held in place by pressure and has no silicone4. I checked with the vendor on how the interior side is attached to the bottom and was assured that the two parts are welded by laser.5. The clear switch lights up blue when the kettle is on.5. The vendor responded to (3) separate questions, each within a day6. The 1500 watt kettle keeps blowing my single fuse in my old building - it's a building issue, but something to be aware of. Many new electric kettles are 1500, rather than 1100, watts so that they boil water faster.So, that's the scoop. I would recommend this kettle. It has a nice, clean design and is well executed, and the Vendor is very professional and helpful.Update: I've now received the Bright Silver version of this kettle. The finish is very nice, not cheap looking. It does not perfectly match the base finish, but the difference is not noticeable (I think my photo shows this accurately). While the green kettle had a grey cord from the base, this one has a black cord, which coordinates well with the other black accents. You can wrap the cord under the base to shorten it and the base still sits securely. The shiny finish makes the kettle look smaller and more elegant than the green kettle, and it blends into the surrounding decor, while the green kettle is more of an accent and the color makes it look larger. The green kettle has a blue light in the switch, while the silver one has a red light.

I expected this to have a bit more “heft”. Sides and lid get HOT! I thought it would be made like a Stanley (double walled?) so that you would not get burned if you touched it. It looks cute and does what it’s supposed to do.🤷🏻‍♀️

As a tea lover, especially during the winter, the quality is excellent, it's very easy to use and heats up very quickly, I would 100% recommend it to someone who wants a stylish and healthy kettle.
