The Official Far Cry Survival Manual (Gaming) Flexibound – September 21, 2021

As a fan of the Far Cry series and lover of outdoor adventure, I couldn’t help but pre order this. I received it the day after it’s release date and my expectations were blown, the flexible yet thick cover sets the mood to this survival guide. Yes, it’s a survival guide, not a game guide, but it is still very intriguing. But what’s cool is there are so many tips, tricks, hacks, etc. for surviving various situations while integrating pictures and moments from the games. This guide features images and situations from Far Cry 3 - 6, as well as Primal and New Dawn. It is well written and organized and overall, a good purchase. If you love the far cry series, I highly recommend this book.

I’m a HUGE fan of all things Far Cry, so when I stumbled upon this, I had to preorder. When it arrived, I was astonished by how beautiful the book looks. It was bigger than I thought it would be, and filled with a bunch of fascinating facts and REAL survival techniques. They really embraced the Far Cry style, including real ways to remove a bullet from your arm (instead of just digging it out with a stick lol).This book is definitely worth it for anyone who enjoys the Far Cry series and just might find themselves on a tropical island, on a mountaintop, in the deep woods of Montana, or, heck, even liberating a whole country.Definitely recommend!

I love this book. Great survival tips and the narrative tying it all together was so great. Also it looks so amazing with the metal corners. Makes it feel like more of a premium product. 10/10 job on the presentation and layout of the book. I havent read any of the parts about Yara because I'm still playing Far Cry 6 and don't want any of the story spoiled by accident. Not sure if there is any spoilers, but to be safe I'll read that section after I complete the game

I've played all the Far Cry games. I've never purchased a manual, decided to for the newest Far Cry game before I played it.This is not a game manual. Repeat, this is NOT a game manual. For example, if you're expecting to be able to look up whether or not wearing a complete set of something gives you an additional bonus (called a Buff in the gaming world) you would not find that. I attempted to look up several things that I already knew without success.What I did find, for example, is a whole section on how to survive a riot. What? I suppose there may have been a riot or 2 among the various editions of the game, but... what?In my opinion, this publication is simply entertainment. It is not a reference manual. I believe it's purpose, apart from making the author some money, is to entertain people who just want to read about the various worlds in the game.You have been warned.

A fun, insightful look into the world of Far Cry. This book expands the world and covers all of the games. I love the seeing the world through the lens of a new character. The writing and design elements really pull you in and there is actually some pretty useful knowledge. It makes me want to play Far Cry 6! Highly recommended.
