NO MICROPHONE DRIVER?! WORST CSR PROCESSES EVER!
DRIVER ISSUE: I thought everything was going well until I had to attend a court hearing via Zoom and the judge couldn't hear me. Fortunately, my Associate Attorney was on the hearing with me and could speak for me. After I researched the issue for an hour, I spent 2 hours with Microsoft, who told me the problem was with HP - a driver was missing for the internal microphone. Really?! After 2 hours with HP, they confirmed that a microphone driver was not only missing on my system but also NOT on the web support page that supposedly listed all the drivers for this laptop. Then after 4 system restores, I was told that I needed to have my OS reinstalled and needed a 32gig flashdrive to do so. I have a very small law firm, so I don't have a 32G flash drive just sitting in my drawer and I don't have tech support (I grew up with pcs, so fortunately, I understood what needed to be done.) But they needed me to have this flash drive; I didn't; so they offered to SELL me one! Are you kidding?! I have to wipe my system and have them reinstall a new operating system during for a laptop that is barely 5 months old and they wanted me to BUY a flash drive to help them fix what shouldn't have been broken? Of course, they're sending me the flash drive for free.ETC.: The touchpad sucks. On my previous HP, I could use the touchpad to right-click. This laptop not only no longer recognizes sound but it doesn't know the right from the left either.I am(?) a big fan of HP products. But this situation is unfathomable. I really hope that this isn't a portent of things to come with their newest products.UPDATE: Wiping my system did no good. So they told me that I had to send it to repair, right before leaving for the holidays. I also had to WFH before leaving and when I returned so I asked about a loaner to WFH when I returned, and was told to contact the support provided on the form that came with the return packaging. I returned and contacted the support who told me that I should ask for a loaner once the laptop was received and would only receive one IF there was an issue. HP kept moving the goal post on the loaner issue. I packed up the laptop, and the return was to be "prepaid". Only it wasn't; because the most convenient drop off location was inside a hotel, which charged me $10.I received the confirmation of receipt of my laptop the day after it was received and a couple of days later received another email stating that it was repaired and was going to be shipped on the day I received the repaired confirmation. So I arranged to WFH on the delivery date. BUT...it wasn't shipped on that day; it was shipped the day after (with INDIRECT signature allowed!). There was no way I could WFH on the delivery date. And I couldn't rearrange the delivery myself, so back on the line with HP who escalated the delivery service issue and told me that it would now take a couple of extra days.Given the money paid for the laptop (that was still under warranty) and the multiple screw-ups with customer service (the processes, not the people), it is very unlikely that I will continue buying HP products and, including this laptop, it's been 7.

Came with no operating system on hard drive
Received the laptop today. Paid a bit for it and since it’s HP I fully expected it to work. Turned it on, and got a black DOS screen that essentially said ‘no hard drive’. After 7 hours of downloading (from another laptop) the complete Windows OS, 4 phone calls to tech support, I have a very expensive laptop that powers on but has a totally BLANK hard drive. I mean, WTF? How does this pass quality control. Now I want to return and get a new one...can’t do that. VERY UNHAPPY!
