You have to be careful of bad Chinese knock offs with these. This one is real Tandy brand though.

The beveler works fine and is of good quality. I did have some strange sticky tape pieces stuck to the end of of the beveler that was hard to see and remove, but other than that the packaging was fine. It seemed sharp enough of the packaging, but would recommend looking at the Tandy website to learn how to sharpen and care for you beveler. I found it easier to use after dampening the leather.

There are better be elders on the market. Dull and need to be constantly stropped

Purchased this for creating a leather key holder. Did it's job well. However after a couple of uses, I found the edge to dull rather quickly. Wondering if there's a way to "resharpen" it or if I have to repurchase a new one.

As always Tandy leather tools are very well made at an affordable price.

I bought one of those "everything you need" kids to get started in leather work. It's paid for itself many times over, but the included edge bevelers left me frustrated. This has me cutting perfect edges so it's worth the extra money.

Great for helping to smooth edges of cut leather, gives the piece a better smoother feel to the hand. I've been using it on most of my pieces since purchase.

I bought a cheap beveler from China before buying this one. I sent the other one back because it was so dull it wouldn't bevel anything. This Tandy Leather beveler works great, even on embossed and thinner leathers. Save yourself the hassle and just buy the good Tandy Leather products, instead of trying out the cheaper crap and then sending it back.
