Jesus Speaks: 365 Days of Guidance and Encouragement, Straight from the Words of Christ Hardcover – December 15, 2015

This is the best devotional I've ever read. We've purchased several and passed them out to friends and family. There is a Scripture each day with commentary or practical ways to live out the principle. The commentary is truly anointed! You will not regret purchasing this book.

All 365 days of devotions are written on Jesus' words. No other scriptures are used. That's whats really unique about this book I like that, because even though I went to a rigorous seminary, and have been in "ministry" for decades, I've come full circle to really believe that what REALLY matters is Jesus Jesus Jesus! There's nothing more important than getting to know Him better. Nothing more important than truly releasing our fears and our arguments (which always boil down to some sort of deep seated fear) and BELIEVING that He is God, and He actually loves humans ... actually loves me and you. It's mindblowing when we really believe it and walk out our lives accordingly. His love empowers us to forgive our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. His love empowers us to walk away from things that damage our bodies, brains, relationships, and lives. His love empowers us to serve people from the poorest to the richest, and love them all as He would.THEREFORE, i really appreciate this book, and the book I bought with it - THE GREATEST WORDS EVER SPOKEN.Note; This book is written in "The Jesus Voice". It is as if Jesus is speaking to the reader. The reason I'm ok with this is because all 365 devotions are totally, scripturally accurate. Nothing stated contradicts the whole of scripture, and especially, not the words of Christ Himself in the Gospels and Acts.Also, I like that it is written in a style that can be read in 2 minutes ... or if you have more time, you can dig deep using the scriptures provided, and the "the greatest words..." book as a companion.

Verses really came direct from JESUS. It made me reflect and change me personally! I felt like JESUS is talking to me. I highly recommend this to ALL who seek JESUS intimately and especially those who suffer of anxiety and struggling in their life, this is a great book to read, full of encouragement and JESUS' promises. I read this book over and over and I bought also to give a away.

Great addition to my Christian library satisfied purchase

I got the book for my daughter's 10th birthday. It is truly an inspiration. Her birthday was March 13th. When I checked to see what March 13th says, its was OH HOW I LOVE YOU.I couldn't believe it. That's the area in her life she struggled with. That wasn't an accident that Steven Scott put those words for her. She reads it every morning before she goes to school.My son who is 7 now said he wants one too. I got it for his birthday.Also I can't get over what my birthday says on Dec 2nd. I just absolutely loved it.I also bought for my goddaughter.

This is a really good and helpful devotional book. I am buying several as gifts. The devotions within are taken from the author's collection of words, stories, parables, teachings of Jesus Christ, the Son of Man and God. The book which these devotions are taken is titled "The Greatest Words Ever Spoken." The only irks I have with this devotional is the full blown reference at the bottom of each day's devotion where the full title of said original book is written out with reference page numbers given to find that topic in his earlier work. After a couple days I wanted to scream, "I get it! This devotional is from that book. So please! Stop spelling it out for me every darn day, if want to buy the other book I will already!" In short I find these references annoying and way too prior-book promotional. l guess I am too judgmental (see page 483 of The Greatest Words Ever Spoken)... but this is irritating to me. I reckon I should pray about my judgmentalism. But geeeeish!

Love, Love, Love this book! This is the perfect companion to The Greatest Words Ever Spoken and the bible, itself. I noticed a difference in my mindset the very first day. It doesn't involve being weak minded or being brainwashed, but rather being an eye opener, reminding you of what you knew but forgot. It's a must have for believers and non-believers alike. It's inexpensive for the value that it can bring to your life if you're ready, already have, or are considering receiving the Father and the Son. This is one of those things that everyone needs, but may not necessarily think to get for themselves.

I have read most of the books Steven K. Scott has written and this is one of my favorites. This is a perfect follow-up to his book "The Greatest Words Ever Spoken" where he organizes every word spoken by Jesus in the Bible into categories. In this devotional, he takes some of those scriptures and breaks them down into daily devotions. Each devotion is written as if Jesus is speaking directly to you which makes them come alive and gives a fresh perspective. It is uplifting, encouraging and a great way to inject scripture into your day. I highly recommend it and will be purchasing more for gifts!
