First let me say this review is a bit premature but my excitement from the first testing prompted me to write this. I use a F.S. (food saver) vacuum sealer and have usually used their bags and rolls and they are $$$What I've done so far1) Measured the thickness of material of the smooth side of both products using a micrometer and found the difference is in the 4th decimal place. That being said I found no difference in the thickness in the smooth side.2) Inspected the embossed side and found this product to have a more pronounced embossing compared to F.S. so it would measure thicker. I am assuming both sides of the bag are made from the same material the peaks and valleys from the embossing makes that side measure thicker3) Vacuum sealed some items and put them in the freezer. This products material quickly pulled a good strong vacuum and a solid seal telling me the material was of good qualityI will update this review after a couple weeks to see if the vacuum holds. Past experience taught me that even though the vacuum sealer worked well the manufactured seal on the sides and defects in the material can cause vacuum leaks over time. But so far so good I am more than pleased with this productUpdate: It's been a week since the test to evaluate vacuum holding and I am pleased to say the bags are as tightly sealed as the day I put them in the freezer. I can highly recommend this product with confidence

I bought this for vacuum sealing my garden vegetables in preparation for freezing. These bags work well.

I tried a cheaper brand of bags and I got just that, CHEAP! But these bags work like vacuum sealer bags supposed to work. They are a great choice for any meat or veggies. Nice size rolls too!

The bags are of fine quality and quantity for the price, but the roll is far too thick to fit into my sealer's roll bay. (see photos, first one shows my 'normal' roll nestled into the roll bay; the second shows this roll and how it's too wide for the bay).Perhaps where the description reads 'fits all machines' they mean the sealing part, and not the storage area?I'll have to unroll and cut them outside of the machine, and store the rolls separately.Since I had planned to swap out between the 11" rolls and the 8" as required, that's not a huge deal, but being able to pull from within the sealer and use the cutter would have been convenient when I'm packaging a lot of stuff for the freezer.So good bags, but don't expect to be able to store them inside the machine until you've used a good half or more of the roll.

I use my Food Saver for a variety of sealing needs: to freeze/preserve meats, fruits, veggies and other foods - I also use it to make "frozen dinners" from leftovers and when sending care packages to my kids to make sure items don't leak and stay fresh during transit. I tried this "off brand" because of the good reviews, and I am SO GLAD I did! The rolls feel of good quality, are a nice 4mil thickness, cut easily, and can be used in the microwave (make sure you open them first!). The vacuum seal is firm and the plastic seals well. Oh, the price is fantastic! I will be ordering again soon! The circumference of the 50' roll is too large to fit into my sealer's storage chamber, but it will eventually fit once I use enough of it, no biggie for me given the great price!

The food sealer bags were very easy to use and the price is also affordable for what you get. I've tried a few other bag types, and this was the best one so far. It's easy to use and holds the food well too.One of my issues with other bags whenever I sealed meat was that the moisture would travel too fast during the vacuuming process which eventually weakens the seal or prevents it from forming properly. This bag however doesn't have that issue because of the texture on the rough side. I noticed that when I tried to seal meat with this bag, the patterned texture would make the liquids/moisture move slower, allowing for the seal to finalize without obstruction. Thanks to that, I don't have to spend as much time sealing my food or resealing it. I would definitely buy this again.

i recently wanted to seal a large quantity of shrimp I purchased and realized my stock of bags was low. I quickly searched and found these on Amazon and loved all the great reviews. I usually have a tough time freezing Shrimp as the shells cause leaks in other providers bags. This causes me to have to double wrap and or redo the seal over and over again.These bags were of a good quality and the thickness was also just right. I froze 8 1 pound bags of Shrimp easily with not one shell causing a puncture and or leak. This means less waste of bags for me and the job was quickly done. Oh and did I forget YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE.

Worked as it should. We were happy with our purchase.
