Great outdoor safety specs for a reasonable price.
I used to have a pair of STIHL wraparound dark amber safety glasses. After 10 years they finally broke at the ear pieces and I was looking for acreplacement. I use these sunglasses mostly for yardwork like mowing and running the trimmer but I also wear them while driving. The Carhart carbondale safety glasses are even better than their predecessor. I like the tint that is perfect for outdoor use in bright sunlight but is light enough to keep the glasses on when clouds shade the sun or when moving into a shaded area. The glasses give a great field of view and have no noticeable distortion. I especially like the built up seal the keeps dust out of your eyes. Everyone having mowed a yard during a dry breezy day know about the dust and fine clipping being blown right in your face when you turn the mower into a sideways orientation to the wind. These glasses will keep the dust from getting behind the lenses. Astonishingly they don't fog up at all even though I tend to sweat on my face a lot when working outdoors. Most sunglasses or safety glasses I have issues with fogging up, these carhart carbondale safety glasses will not.I made the mistake of throwing them in my backpack once where they slid all the way to the bottom and they were exposed to some abrasive particles and vibrations while walking with the nackpack on. Once I pulled them back out from the bottom of my backpack I noticed some slight scratches on the lenses. Totally my fault and the scratching is really minimal. I recommend using a hard case to store them when not in use. Overall the safety specs are now my new favorite and are a worthy replacement for the STIHL ones (BTW the model I owned is not offered any more)1 Year update: The glasses are still going strong (image attached is after the 1 year use). No new scratches after the backpack incident mentioned above. Still my favorite pair of sunglasses. One item to mention now is that cleaning them is easy. Mostly just wipe them with a dry paper towel. If they get a bit too grimy I use isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel. They still look as good as a year ago. I was thinking the nose pads would be the first things I would break or lose. They are still there and are just as soft and comfortable as when they were brand new. Love these sunglasses.

Excellent quality but 2 flaws
These well-made sunglasses are an outstanding value, and reasonably stylish for safety glasses. The two flaws I found with them are: the printing of the brand name on corners of the lens, even though subtle, is not ideal. I would prefer no inscription on the lenses. The other flaw is that one of the soft nose pads came off without my knowing it. Although the nose pads are glued on, it's possible that skin oil compromised the bond. Having said that, the sunglasses are not uncomfortable to wear with one of the nose pads missing. The color of the lenses is pleasing to look through.

Awesome and fashionable tinted safety glasses... look like cool shades, but will last way longer
Awesome! I got a set of clear lensed safety glasses at work of this exact model and saw the tinted version here on Amazon for around $7, a price much cheaper than any other shades you could buy that would certainly be more flimsy, not last as long, maybe be heavier or harder and less flexible, etc. These look cool and not like safety glasses. I love them, they feel great, are lightweight, and I love the confidence that they are professional, durable, and protective of my eyes from harsh sunlight UV rays, as well as flying debris. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly Surprised
I really like these glasses. I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses up in the mountains Sat. I've had those glasses for around 10 years and wore them year round. I was really bummed. Got these and put 'm on outside the post office and instantly liked them. After wearing them for less than an hour I wished I had found them years earlier. Love the lens color, the fit and they are light and comfortable.I will recommend these to my friends.

Stylish, inexpensive, durable
Great shades that are stylish and provide actual protection from flying debris. The amber tint is perfectly effective on the brightest of days, but can used indoors provided that there is decent lighting. They're indoor/outdoor glasses that favor outdoor use, as opposed to most indoor/outdoor glasses that you can't really use as sunglasses. The frames feel sturdy but not bulky and they are very comfortable on the face. For 8 dollars, I love 'em. They look good, provide ANSI rated protection and they're inexpensive. I'll be getting a couple extra

Great glasses!
As a contractor, I'm constantly buying sunglasses. They get scratched easily, drop and break, I sit on them--whatever. As such, I only buy inexpensive sunglasses. I usually find a pair that fits okay, then buy 4-5 pairs. I typically spend $5-$10 per pair, and expect them to last a month or two. When I recently came across these sunglasses, I couldn't believe their price-point, AND the fact that they are safety glasses as well. These are VERY flexible (for a guy like me with a big head), lightweight and seem to be well made. The only complaint I have is that they're not very dark; I wish they offered a bit darker option and/or mirrored lenses. Other than that, GREAT glasses.
