Concentre d'Orange Verte by Hermes 3.3 oz Eau de Toilette Spray

I have loved this scent for 25 years ! It’s a classic

This is the more concentrated version launched in 2004 as compared to the original Eau D'orange Verte launched in 1979. The green orange citrus fragrance is very, very similar to the original Eau D'orange Verte, but is stronger and lasts longer. It's in a frosted green bottle (as opposed to the clear green bottle of Eau D'orange Verte which I also have) and standard orange Hermes box. It's certainly not a 'limited edition' which I believe is an out-dated description that has not been updated here for ages. For those who prefer a milder blast of green orange fragrance upon initial spray, the original Eau D'orange Verte may be preferable, but longetivity is less. Having just bought and used this in February 2014, I can assure that if it's fresh, green orange citrus fragrance you are looking for, this EDT is sheer elegance. For freshness alone, I will prefer this or the Eau D'Orange green orange fragrance over the other Hermes powerhouse in my rotation, Terre d'Hermes (which has a well-ripened orange/burnt orange peel fragrance), although the latter has its own class and lasts longer, whether in EDT or EDP formulation. While lemon-based fragrances are plentiful, there are not as many orange-based fragrances. The other orange-based fragrances I own are from Cartier, namely Cartier Declaration and Eau de Cartier Essence d'Orange. Declaration has a strong hint of Indian curry due to the use of caraway, coriander, cinnamon and cardamom spicy notes which means it can't be used everyday without irritating co-workers. Cartier's Essence d'Orange is too floral with just a mild hint of orange and although advertised as unisex, it's really a women's fragrance, and I have since given it away. For orange-based fragrances done right that can be used everyday, it's really just Hermes with its trio of D'orange Verte Concentre, Eau D'orange Verte and Terre D'Hermes. I would also recommend the Hermes d'Orange Verte body lotion as both a hands/body moisturizer and to further enhance the fragrance of the EDT. Although the lotion only comes in small 1.4 ounce bottles, they are travel-friendly and their green orange fragrance is so strong that a little goes a long way; they are definitely worth their price. Update on May 2, 2015: If you like D'orange verte, I'd recommend you check out my most recent citrus fragrance discovery, Aqva Amara from the house of Bvlgari. It's a bitter mandarin orange EDT perfectly complemented with aquatic marine accord that has a very similar vibe to D'orange Verte - both orangey and shower fresh. It's also affordable, and the projection and sillage of this mandarin orange fragrance lasts all day, longer than Concentre D'orange Verte. If you love fresh orange fragrances, it'll certainly be worth your time checking it out whether on Amazon or elsewhere.

Great clean soap smell, which I prefer. Bought at Nordstrom for 173 dollars and I’m glad I didn’t take the wrapper off. Overall I really like the scent, but I love the Amazon price. I will definitely try the other Hermes scents, but I will only purchase on Amazon.

The bottle size is adequate and quite beautifully designed. I believe the value for money is great, despite the short longevity of the fragrance. It is a very delicious scent, evoking summertime for sure. I would prefer it to last longer than it does. The only thing I dislike is that it comes with two caps, the rounded one shown in the photo and an atomizer. It's one of the other, which is more annoying than anything.

I was on a blog and the topic was men's scents for summer. And I came across this scent and there were so many positive comments and I had to try it for myself. I love this scent!

The scent is citrus based, and comes off very clean and crisp. A lot of other, stronger fragrances I find irritating, and can sometimes cause mild allergic reactions. I find this scent very pleasing, and have actually received compliments on it. I always thought of this as a man's cologne, but guess it is marketed to women as well. This is the "concentrated" version of the cologne, which I personally prefer, as it tends to last a bit longer than the other fragrance version. The price is also competitive, compared to what you would find in a regular store. Just a couple sprays a day, and I found the 3.3 bottle to last me well over one year.

Generally don’t buy fragrances w/o testing but was ordering something for the bride and saw this discounted. Sucker for a deal and it’s Hermes. Aroma is nice but only slight hint of orange. Used it moderately day 1 not wanting to overdose. Wife said she barely smell anything almost immediately. Doubled day 2 but all hints of fragrance gone in an hour or two. Maybe its a bad match for my body chemistry, but would suggest sampling before buying.

I was excited to place the order and try this product as my husband loves the soap. The shipment was fast and as always, a great product. Eau De Toilette is a bit higher grade then Eau De Parfume, for those of you who don't already know. More oil in the product means it will last longer and you will use less. Anyone who orders will love this product! Thanks!

エルメスのオードランジュヴェルトは使用開始時のトップノートから好感の持てる香りで、 ミドルノートもオレンジブロッサムと柑橘系、グリーンノートがありいい香りで好感が持て、 ラストのパチューリとミスク(ムスク)などの香りもとても好感が持ていい香りなのですが、 このコンセントレはオードトワレとなっているためそれを存分に楽しめます。 それとこれはスプレータイプで今でも大切に使っています。 スプレータイプのほうかなぜかなくなっていく度合いが少なくて気に入っています。 本当に癒される香りで、香水の中で一番嫌みのない、香水っぽいいやな香りがなく、 スポーツ後などにも使用するのもいいし、ユニセックスに使用できて、 これがベストセラーになっていないのは不思議で仕方がないくらいのいい香りです。 お勧めです。
