Hawaiian Fish Hook Necklace Real Bone Natural Aged Bone Color

I wore this for so long and it never left my body, but one day I noticed that the tip of the twine looked like it was fraying a little and then the a couple days later I got out of the water and only had the part that goes around your neck, the makau had fallen off.

Having worn these fish hook necklaces for many years the strings fail & I have to buy new ones but this time I couldn't find the smaller size I normally wear. This one seems too big so it will probably sit in the drawer till I locate a smaller one. I would NOT buy this one again.

Just beautiful! This lovely necklace is even in nicer than I expected it to be. You can tell that a lot of care and attention was put into all the little details, from the perfectly smooth carved hook to the nice bead adornments. I really like that the hemp cord is adjustable so that I can wear it either long or as choker. It’s very well made, I can tell the cord will last for a very long time, it’s quite strong. The size of the pendant is just perfect, not too big and not too small, making it a nice statement piece without being too overwhelming. It has a very high quality feel to it, you can tell by looking at and touching it that this is the real deal, not a cheap plastic knock-off. I love that Pacific Island Carvers craft each of these by hand, making each one a unique treasure. Every time I wear it I receive compliments and people ask me where I got it… I’ve started thinking of it as a good luck charm. This would be a great gift idea for anyone who loves the ocean, however I don’t think I’ll be giving mine away any time soon, I love it too much!

The necklace is excellent quality. I live in Hawaii and I ordered one of these for myself and my nephew. The size is perfect and the woven hemp cord looks like it will last for a long time. I have already worn mine in and out of the water. I like good quality and I like supporting local Hawaiian businesses that still make things the right way. It also arrived fast - just in time for Christmas. It’s carved from real bone and looks like a lot of time was put into making it. I would definitely buy one of these as a gift again.

A beautifully hand carved necklace. I was very happily impressed with the quality. The size of the pendant and length of the necklace is true to size in the pictures. I bought this for a gift, but now I'm going to check out the other styles that are offered and buy one for myself. Until I can afford another vacation there, this will be my little taste of Hawaii.
