Convenient
This works great and I recommend it. Easy to use. I took it with me for a 3-week trip to Argentina and used it to filter the water so I was not wasting money on buying bottled water.

Best new addition to my camping gear.
Pros1) next best thing to having a portable tap in the forest.2) Gravity fed purification process is much better than squeezing a plastic bag.3) holds a sizeable amount of water which reduces trips to the river.4) compact and lightweight when hiking. Especially given the functionality it brings.5) feels very durable and works well no hiccups so far.Cons1) if the river is low on water involves a bit of strategy to get water in the bag.2) the tap on the hose squeezes the hose itself it’s not an issue now but it may lead to a leaks after many uses.In summary.Very happy with this purchase this is going to be a mandatory item on any hike I go on in future.

Works great and durable
Works great and very durable, water does escape the top when rolled, so not great for transporting water

Great filter but may have issues in cloudy/muddy water
Great filter purchased for extended wilderness camping trip that functioned as needed. Only reason for not getting 5 stars was how quickly the filter on it seemed to silt up and slow down. The creek where we filled up with was a clear high mountain stream and we were careful not to muddy the water as we filled the bag so it’s not like there was a heavy amount of silt needing to be filtered out. I’m sure if we were using it in a muddier faster moving river like the Colorado or something the filter would have been even harder to use. In the long run, my family of four got all our drinking water for the majority of our trip through this filter and no one got sick which is the main thing. The fact that it got slow and harder to use I was a slight in convenience but, in the long run and acceptable issue given its functionality.

Loved it. Lightweight and packable. Easy to use
Bought this last year for our 10 day pack trip into the Bob Marshall wilderness. We all loved it. Noone got sick. We got water from the river. Easy to use and pack. Lightweight. Using it again for the same trip this year.

Highly recommend, did its job perfectly!
Went on a three day backpacking trip. The lake was frozen over but one of my friends managed to crack it open. I just dipped the bag and brought it up and we filled a 5 gallon bucket with a couple trips. Everyone loved this. It was very easy compared to some of the other ones others had. I would highly recommend this And it’s versatile too.

Great water filter!!
Filters water effectively and without the aftertaste of the plastic bag like some water filter systems have. I have filtered water for six months strait and have never had any issues. Good buy for the money.

You get what you pay for
I'm not very happy with this purchase. Sure, it's cheaper than most gravity filters, but there are some drawbacks. The filter/straw does not provide a way to connect and drain into either a hose or a water bottle. You have to hold it. In other words, if you want to hang the whole contraption from a tree, you have the dirty resevoir connected to the hose, connected to the filter, connected to nothing. If you wanted a resevoir for clean water, you would have to stand there and fill the container.Second issue: the hose connects to other pieces (up and down stream) using pressure fittings, and the pieces will eventually slide off. If you hang the whole contraption, you have gravity actively pulling the filter off the hose. Not ideal.Beyond these issues, the filter works as expected. You can screw only the filter onto the provided water bottle and suck/drink directly. That's neat, and I wish they provided similar screw fittings for other parts of the setup.
