AvedaPhomollient Styling Foam | Weightless Mousse for Fine to Medium Hair

I have fine, curly hair that gets weighed down with most styling lotions but not with Aveda Phomollient. This product gives my hair body and shine but leaves it lightweight; I bring out the curls by simply running my fingers through my hair while it dries. This bottle is a refill—pour it into the original bottle so it gets released as a foam (that helps you apply only a small amount).

I have used this product for 5+ years . I keep buying it because it works so well for me with whether my hair is short or long

[NOTE: This is a REFILL, and does not come with a pump. You must use the pump from a previous bottle of Phomollient.]I have very fine, blonde hair. At 63 I still have most of it, with only a touch of grey. If I use no product, my hair is just straight and limp and flat, as it has no natural body to speak of. Phomollient gives me just enough structure to hold a shape, but looks completely natural. I wet, then towel-dry my hair, then dispense 2 pumps of Phomollient into my hands, distribute it through my hair and style with a comb. I shake it out and get the style I want, then try not to touch it until it's dry. After it's dry, I run my hands through it until it's kinda "fluffy". Even I can't tell it has product in it, and it holds that shape all day long. Great stuff! It's pricey, but it's such a great product, I'm happy to pay it. Just one negative: the cap on the refill almost always leaks in transit. Like almost every time I have ordered it, it arrives with gel leaking inside the package. I have also learned to keep the cap for travel. I put it on, TIGHTLY, then I put the bottle in a ziploc bag so it won't get all over the stuff in my suitcase (this has happened too many times!), and that seems to work pretty well. The last refill I bought was shrink-wrapped, and there was hardly any leakage.

I didn't like that the caps weren't closed/tightened. This is the second order with this issue.The first time the plastic packaging was wet and I didn't check the refill bottle, this time I looked after another wet pkg and found out I was missing 1/3 of the bottle. Last time I am ordering!

Not much care was taken into shipping the bottle, like other reviews, the bottle was a bit wet when it arrived. There was a wet seal tape on it but it didn't help much but left a sticky film on it when removed. Other than that, it was a great value for the money. I love the Aveda product, so buying a refill at a great price was a no brainer for me. I saved my original bottle and just poured the refill into that bottle instead of using the refill bottle since it was cleaner. Otherwise, great purchase.

My hair is cut short and this product gives the right amount of volume. Holds really well.

I’ve been using Aveda Phomollient for over 20 years. I try various hair products, but this is one I always come back to. This refill bottle is super convenient.I have a pixie-ish haircut, and after washing my hair, I use one pump of this, and spread it through the ends of my hair. I then comb it and “place” my hair however I want it to stay. I let it dry naturally, and I literally never have a bad hair day. Highly recommended!
