Great for supplemental light in the winter.
The Sansi 36W LED is a great little grow light.I bought my first Sansi 36W LED grow light at the start of 2020, and had been using it to supplement the light for my Colocasia plants. As a newbie in terms of growing, I wasn't too sure of what to make of it. It seemed to work fine, well the plants were doing well. At the time I had 1 plant under the light. When the winter came, I realised that the plants that were not supplemented with the additional light were not doing soo well. I then decided to raise the light higher, so that it would cover a larger area and about 2 - 2.5 plants. The plants that were struggling quickly took advantage of the additional light and were doing well again. It seems that 1 single 36W LED can supply enough light for about 2-3 of my Colocasia plants. I keep the light about 1.5 feet above the canopy of my plants and they seem fine.My next experiment will be to see if this light can support some plants in a part of my living room that receives very little light from the window. At present, I'm hopeful that it will work.My advice when using this light would be to make sure that the lamp is used without a shade (I used my first light with a shade and it failed very quickly in about 3 months because of the build-up of heat in the unit. The seller promptly replaced the light, I realised my mistake and now I now use the lights as instructed, without a shade and they are fine)At 36W for about 10 hours a day, I calculated an approx cost of £25 a year at my current electricity prices, which I don't think is that bad. It allows me to keep a little bit of nature in my living room which i love.

Great bulb.
The media could not be loaded. A great bulb for growing houseplants in my dark flat. Looks a little bulky, and doesn't fit every decor theme, but puts out tonnes of neutral/warm light. Easy to install in any E27 socket, but just be mindful that as the bulb is quite heavy, it may sag some gooseneck clamps. Puts out 500 to 1000 ppfd between 6 and 12 inches away from the bulb. Very impressed.

Great value light for beginner chilli grower.
I bought this Sansi 36W light to try and get a head start with my chilli seedlings, this is the first batch and are Capsicum Baccatum's and Capsicum Chinense. I have never used a light or lights before so I cannot compare this to any previous experience and it is a bit of trial and error at the moment. The propagator they are in is 52cm long x 42cm wide and the light has no problems covering it at 16 inches above the tops of the pots, in the pictures the light is 12-13 inches away from the tops of the plant pots and covers the area well also. Some of the seedlings got a little leggy before I put them under light as they germinated surprisingly quickly (first time using a heated propagator as well), the first two pictures were taken 4 days before the next three. It is their only source of light, they are under a north facing bedroom window but the grey and drab British Jan/Feb sunlight is of no real use to the seedlings. I started them off with the light 16 inches above the tops of the pots as I think it may state in the Sansi information page (from memory) to do so. I had the light on for 8 hrs a day for the first 3 days at 16 inches and have now lowered the light to 12-13 inches above the pots and I am keeping the light on for10 hrs a day. (The propagator lid is on at the moment, although the light creates minimal heat itself and I guess it would not damage the leaves.)I can't see any visible problems from having the lights a little lower than it recommends, even on sensitive seedlings. (Not that I would be entirely sure what to look for, yellowing leaves and leaf curl I guess.)The seedlings seem to be thriving under the light so far, although they may be a little leggy due to me not putting them under lights quick enough or having the light low enough or on for long enough to start with. The light is giving them the kickstart I was hoping for this early in the year. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on lights as this is the first time I have tried them and I am very pleased with the Sansi 36W light so far.The bulb screwed straight into an E27 pendant light fitting I bought, the pendant light fitting said it was suitable to be used with bulbs up to 100 watts.I noticed other people mention that the backs of the bulbs can get a little warm to the touch. They don't get very warm at all in my experience, after 10 hrs on I can hold onto the back of the bulb if I need to move it. (Mine is very open though, i can't speak for others who have them in a more enclosed area.)As an enthusiastic 2nd year beginner to chilli growing this light suits me very well, it's price is great and it enables me to start off seedlings and grow on young plants much earlier than I would of realistically have been able to do so on a south facing windowsill relying on the British weather.I may be making little mistakes with how I am using the light as i am learning but the seedlings seem to be responding to the bulb and light and are growing well in my opinion. The bulb is good quality, easy to use with the E27 fitting and to me it seems very good value for money. On what I have experienced in a smallish period of time so far with this light I would recommend them for the same type of uses as me.

All year round plant growth
These are large bulbs with a wide field of light. I use the 36w in a dark corner of the room around 15ft from the closest window.I still get year round growth from a selection of plants large and small from philodendrons to scindapsis and ficus variations.I typically use it on a timer for 12hrs a day and from my last 2 I averaged around 14 months of daily use although I also have a 24w in another room which has been used daily for 10hrs a day for a little over 2 years supporting a mature ficus benghalensis. The heat dissertation is good and they look interesting. I’d say that for the impact they’ve had on my plant growth they are value for money.

great product, great company
out of my pair of these growlights, which have helped produce magnificent jade, yucca, spider, poinsietta, aloe, dracaena plants amongst others, one light failed after 11 months used daily for 12 hours a day. However, i e-mailed Sansi, and they sent a replacement, no quibbles within 4 days. very impressed.

Good bulb but lasted 6 months only...
Bought in may 2024, used till end of november, off till 20 March. Turned it on yesterday, worked for 5 maybe 10 minutes, thats it. To make sure my lamp works I have bought new one, recived today and it works just fine. Bulb basically got 6 months of use, thats a bit short as for the price... Can't contact seller abou refund either. Will have to deal with amazing amazon customer services like I have got nothing better to do but sit and waiting for someone to answer me once every 30 minutes :)

Plenty of growth using these.
I've purchased several now. All my plants are growing well and are of good colour and height since using. Very happy with purchase. They do get very hot but seem to be made well and do not smell of burning plastic. They seem to last for ages too. Would recommend but depends on what your growing and distance from plants. Nice dispersal of light and coverage angle.
