These worked very well

So inexpensive! Great quality. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pull on the metal clips WITHOUT removing them and just pop them on. When you pull on the clip ever so slightly you'll notice that they open up on the side that slides onto the little metal knobs that project from your car. You just pull on them ever so slightly and slip them on. One on each end of the strut. Super easy. Takes literally a minute to replace each one. There's a metal clip on BOTH ends of the strut for two points of attachment. Same with removing the old ones. Just make sure you have someone or something holding up the door when you do this. Your helper should be on a ladder to avoid arm strain. Those doors are heavy. Remember to also clean the metal knobs on your car with a paper towel. I lubricated mine with some WD40 for good measure but you probably don't need to as these struts or liftgates come pre-lubed. My dealership asked $300 in labor alone to do this....go figure.

Instructions were of very little value. There is a video online showing the remove and replace process. The process was perfect but I would advise cutting a piece of lumber or PVC Pipe to hold up the lift gate while you change the struts. One new strut alone will not hold up the gate and it's better to be safe than sorry.

Oh what a relief! The old prop rods were failing randomly and more seriously, falling over my head with slightest wind draft. These replacement prop-rods were a perfect fit and installation (removal of the old ones and putting up the new ones) was a breeze (thanks to YouTube). Now my front hood pops up easily and stays up until I want to lower it down. The price point at Amazon was quite reasonable compared to what the local dealership parts store was asking for a similar pair. Bought another pair for my tailgate lift as well. I'm very, very satisfied for going with these pairs. Worth every penny of it...so far.

After losing a clip and breaking the end off a different version from a different vendor, I was prepared for a battle to install these. They popped on perfectly with no issue. So Happy. (it was cold and windy when I had to do this) :)

These tailgate struts are very thick and sturdy. Took me longer to take them out of the box than to install them. I loosened the clip on the right top strut first and it allowed to be pry it off the stationary ball. Then the bottom pops off. I then popped in the new strut by hand, top and bottom and the first side was done. 5 minutes. Did the same to the other side and was back inside my house within 10 minutes. These struts were a welcomed replacement to the 14 year old struts I should have replaced 6 years ago.

Perfect fit for my Volvo XC90 Came pre lubed inside ball sockets. Just clean your bonnet ball mounts and snap on new struts. Now they actually lift the weight of the bonnet all the way up - and it stays up!
