My Dyson hand held vacuum started by running in pulses, so I cleaned and then replaced the filter. That resolved that issue BUT then it decided it was time to run for only short periods of time and finally after only lasting for 5 minutes, I decided to tackle replacing the battery. The replacement cost using a Dyson battery pack was considerably more expensive than this battery pack. Removal and replacing the battery pack only requires a screw driver which was provided with the battery pack. Was a 6 minute job. Hardest part was aligning the trigger control.This battery seems even better than the original. It runs strong and I have yet to run out of suction between charges. Very happy with this battery.

We love our Dyson V7 and use it daily. When the battery died and Dyson was out of stock on batteries, we turned to Amazon for generic batteries. Price was cheaper, so I wasn't expecting the same performance. The first time we purchased a generic battery from a different company, it lasted a year before starting to glitch (shutting off and on) and eventually dying. We purchased this battery because it was advertised as "upgraded." It worked great initially. Great power. And it even came with extra screws and a little screwdriver to make the easy battery installation even more convenient. However, the window to return this battery was Feb. 25 and Mar. 5, it just died. Kaput. Nothing. I checked the charger, I checked the cord. I just bought another generic battery from another company to see if it was indeed the battery or maybe the charger or the vacuum itself. The new battery is working great and charges. So, I'm bummed to say that this battery didn't last long--just long enough that I can't exchange or return it through Amazon. :(

When I bought this in April 2022 it said it had a 1-year warranty. Sadly, at 11 months it has stopped working. It will run for a solid 5 seconds or so on high. I now see that they've shortened the warranty. Just be aware.UPDATE- After posting this, the seller contacted me and provided a replacement, which is working great. Strong customer service!

So, I have the car and boat unit that this is made for and, a month or so after getting it, it just stopped working. Well.... I took my time getting in touch with Dyson and they were very unhappy to tell me that my warranty had expired a month before getting in touch. My bad... But they were happy to sell me another battery - for about the same price I spent for the unit (I got it on sale) in the first place. That would be a no! I go looking and find replacements from this manufacturer at a third of the cost. I've been using the vacuum heavily for about the past month and have been very impressed - as far as I can see, there is no difference in this vs the Dyson original (other than the fact that this one works....). It installs easily - even comes with a screw driver. The screw driver isn't entirely necessary; it's not anything special other than the fact that the screws are a bit small and not easily accessible without having a screwdriver with a thin shaft.Works Great! Fully satisfied!

The battery worked great and was a nice upgrade when it was new but unfortunately it failed at 11months. It sits in the charger blinking red.Update:The seller reached out offered a refund / replacement within a few days. Would definitely buy again

My in-laws Dyson stopped working after 4 years. We determined the issue was the battery. This one was much cheaper than the 95.00 Dyson listed on their website or the 130.00 price quote by the customer service rep on their help line. The battery was easy to install and the sweeper has come back to life!
