Irish Music - 400 Traditional Tunes

I play the classical flute, and mostly play solo, for my own enjoyment. Occasionally there are some low notes my flute can't reach, so in those songs I have to make modifications, but that still leaves hundreds of songs. I will be working through this for a long time. The notes are slightly small for my eyes even with reading glasses, but that's pretty common with sheet music. I'm happy to have this collection, to expand on my previous section of Celtic music for flute (much loved books by Jessica Walsh).

Will probably buy his instructional book as well—very well done!

The songs are all traditional jigs, reels, hornpipes, etc, which is great. These are ones you might hear at a session. The recording of the music which you can download is well done and is played on tin whistle, clearly and at a moderate speed. The printing of the music notation in the book is a little smaller than I like, but is ok for occasional use.

I bought this for my daughter to brush up on her Irish repertoire. She thought she knew a ton of Irish fiddle tunes till she got this book and realized she only knew a tiny bit. It definitely keeps her busy and helps her not to burn out with practicing her violin.

There are so many songs in this book! I would have liked a ring binder so the pages are easier to turn, but since the songs don’t go past one page, it’s not an issue. I just use clips to keep the book open on my music stand.

I use the product for my own playing enjoyment. I have two other Irish tube books that have many more songs that have good melodic content and memorable songs.

Great to have sound files with the music. It really helps that they play in traditional manner the songs were written in. The Author also has The Complete guide to playing traditional irish on the tin whistle That I found to be fabulous and have used the two in conjunction.

Solo le faltan los acordes de guitarra. No lo entiendo porque con las cacho de piezas que contiene este libro y que no tenga acordes... no es un pecado sino un despiste jajaja

Thought this had the notes with the hole pictures. It didnt. If i ever learn to read music it will be great!

とにかく曲数を詰め込み、説明などは一切省いたアイリッシュ曲集。・譜面は主旋律のみのごくシンプルなもの。コード表記のないフェイクブックを想像するとよい。・ジャンルとしては13種類収録しているが、うち115曲がジグ、146曲がリール、54曲がホーンパイプで大半を占める。・ほとんどはG調とD調で、まれにAやCなども。・全曲の演奏例を一括ダウンロード可能。ストリーミング限定ではないのがありがたい。ただURLの記載場所がわかりにくく、扉の裏面下端に小さく書いてあるのみ。・ファイル形式はMP3で、演奏例はすべて無伴奏のティンホイッスルによるもの。装飾音付きの演奏でゆっくりめ。曲順のタグ付けがされておらず、また譜面上の曲順に規則性がないため、そのままでは譜面を追いながら流し聴きすることができないのが難点。私はかなり面倒だったがタグエディタ（EasyTag）で全て譜面と同じ順番に割り当て直した。
