Scratch Programming in easy steps 2nd Edition

I like how easy the directions were to follow!!

I’m teaching my 7 year old grandson Scratch and this book has some nice examples we can build on. Best book like this I’ve seen so far.

If you are a parent and want to work with your child in Scratch then this is an excellent book for you to get. If you are a teacher then is a great book to use to get you started in Scratch and its extensions. Mr. McManus' books are clear and he has great visuals to make sure you can recreate the tutorials. I highly recommend this book.

This resource book on using Scratch to program with K12 students is fantastic! I found the tips and steps to coding simple and more advanced programs so helpful! I am new to teaching Scratch and Scratch Jr. and found this book invaluable! When I had a question, I could search the book and see the answer to my question described or applied visually and was able to guide my students as a result to effectively programming in Scratch. On the cover of the book is an image that says ‘in easy steps’ and that is the absolute truth with this book. The steps are easy to follow regardless of your ability level using Scratch and there are tons of tips and gems of knowledge that comes only from experience and a wealth of knowledge of using Scratch like Sean has written about in this book. I really like this book " scratch programming in easy steps" by Sean Mc Manus. The thing I like most about this book is the detailed explanation of each and every character, variable, loops and logic through out the book. In every chapter you will find complete information about project in simple explanatory English language. The idea and games are very uniquely designed and I'm using with my kids and students. They all are enjoying this book throughly. The graphical presentation is very attractive and with the help of step by step methods my kids can easily create game and animations without my help.

Sean has written a great book here! He takes you step by step through programming concepts using fun projects. I learned a lot and my girlfriend's nine year old son did as well! Everything is well explained and the projects are challenging enough to keep you interested. I highly recommend this book!
