Ben Archer and the Cosmic Fall: (The Alien Skill Series, Book 1)

Welcome, Ben Archer!
A single mother and her teenager son are facing a whole bunch of adventures, involving human and alien friends and enemies. The characters are carefully painted reflecting their interior struggling with perils they met.The cute bonus is Tike, the little terrier, playful and intelligent. It was a very pleasant and entertaining lecture. I strongly recommend and look forward to next adventures.

excellent adventure story
This novel was very good. I am a grown up, but thoroughly enjoy the young adult genre. It kept my interest and there were many twists and turns to the plot. Looking forward to the second book in the series.

Super engaging...
WE love this book!! I wasn't sure if I would like this book but it is very mysterious and engaging... Got it for my 12 y.o and now I found myself making excuses for him to "read to me" so I can make sure he "understands" what he is reading lol... He finally caught on and said, "Mom, it's ok... I don't mind reading it to you since you like it so much" lol... Really interesting.. My son and I both recommend this book... Probably for 8 and up... Depending of course of the child... Fyi parents, get your glasses because the letters are a tad bit small... Still a great read tho…

Great read!
This was a great read. Well written. An “all ages” type of book. Clean, exciting and perfect start to the series.

Suspenseful, Imaginative, and Fun!
Great book for middle-graders looking for adventure, and a nice crossover tale between science fiction and fantasy!

It’s interesting, but POV is hard to follow for younger children.
I suggest this for older children. POV is hard to follow for children younger than 11.

After the Fall
The story held my attention but I could not quite "get into it".I felt more like an observer than a part of the story. The end of this part of the story was a little unsatisfying. Also, the Mesmo character was too disassociated from the Ben character from my perspective. It was worth the read though and I will be reading the next installment to see where the author takes me.

Great for kids
Our family has now read (aloud) the first three books in the series and young and old alike have enjoyed them all. The writing is not that of a seasoned pro; there are enough grammatical oddities and weak endings to disabuse you of that notion. That said, the writing does not get in the way of the story and the action is compelling. As the series progresses you can also tell that the author is becoming more skilled in her craft. My 7, 10 and 11 year old all enjoy the stories and don't want to stop when it's time for bed.

Engaging story, well written
This kinda reminds me a little of another series Earth man Jack, but with a different spin. Breezed right through it. And on to the next…

A Compelling read!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, even though it’s teen oriented. It’s highly compelling, nerve wrecking and full of action, for such a young boy, who goes through traumatic and emotional experiences! Most recommended!
