I hunt with a bounty hunter quicksilver, garrett at pro and garrett atx. This scoop is a great digger with all machines. It's very effective, yet easy to dig with. It's welded stainless steel construction is very sturdy and not excessively heavy. The smaller diameter holes are great for not missing small targets. I might also add that the seller was incredibly helpful in locating this item when the local post office failed to drop off and properly notify me when the package arrived locally. If purchasing from the US, keep in mind that to track this item, one must tell the post office that this is an international package, or else they will use the wrong tracking system and fail to find it (in their own system!). This scoop is heavy duty and can easily dig through sand and shells.This scoop is heavier than other scoops by a little bit.Keep in mind, having a light duty scoop for light duty applications will save your arm

This scoop is so light it feels like it's made of plastic. But this scoop is durable. I used it for 2 days and I abuse my stuff. It held up going through sand and sand with lots of rocks/coral/what ever. The only issue I have is it could be bigger. Because it is so light adding to the size would help me recover faster. In the rough tides I was having a problem with keeping light weight trash in the scoop. I would have to keep digging over and over trying to get that stupid piece of aluminum trash that floats everywhere. A few slight modificatioms would make this the go to scoop for water huntin. Over all I am happy but will see if they can custom make my next one

This is a tool, a very well-made tool. It performs exactly as I expected. It is rather heavy. Keep in mind that it is made for lifting sand wet or dry, For females and youngsters, I definitely recommend the more expensive model that has the upright handle at mid-point for better control.

Great construction, fast delivery, easy to use, does the job well in wet sand under water. I Previously had a cheapo scoop, but it kept braking handles or the handles would come loose, and now the metal cracked badly, cheap metal. So paid more for a decent one,

This thing is awsome!.....light weight and strong as hell.Don't waste your money on a cheaper one if you plan on using it alot and putting it thru sand,rocks....and whatever spend a little more and go with titanium, you won't be disappointed

I 100% agree with others who have said this scoop is not "lightweight". I've attached a number of different DIY handles (e.g. paint pole, PVC pipe, galvanized pipe, wooden shovel handle) and lugging it around all day becomes tiresome. By the end of the day I have difficulty even slinging it onto my shoulder. That said, it is rugged. I've pried huge stones out of the sand and used it to dig into very rocky surf. Not a single ding or bend in the scoop.Also, it travels well. I remove the handle, stuff it in a carryon backpack and have flown with it twice. When I get to my destination I'm on the hunt for a new makeshift handle. PVC piping seems to be the cheapest and easiest. At Home Depot I've cut the pipe to my desired length at the moulding saw station and begged the tool rental staff to let me drill a hole with a borrowed cordless drill. Be sure to bring your own drill bit sized properly to the scoop's hole!
