My favorite tea
The flavor blows other English breakfast teas (twinnings, cheap stuff). I think it’s worth it. Wish they offered a larger size

Wonderful tea!
I love Whittard tea! I bought my first tin of this tea in Oxford, England, and it’s become my favorite English breakfast tea. So I’m thrilled it’s available through Amazon, as I can no longer can get it from a different source I used to use. It’s the perfect cup of tea for starting the day. I have gut issues, and it’s not too harsh for me. Lovely flavor. I’m just about to order another bag to refill that tin I bought in England!

Everyday tea choice
Bought it for tea refill. Come in as loose tea in a bag as expected. Same taste, wonderful as always.

Stinks like disinfectant
I usually buy this tea in the tin cans. But I decided to order just the loose leaf tea. And when I opened the box and bag the horrible, overwhelming smell of disinfectant or chemicals hit me. And caused an asthma attack. I can’t return this according to their policy but I can’t use it!

Not good value
Amusingly, Whittard of Chelsea have their English Breakfast made in Germany. It is not a blend but a single source tea with a pleasant flavor, provided you use enough of it, brew it long enough and look hard enough for the rather elusive flavor. Because of that, I don’t think it warrants its medium range price.

This was a treat for myself - felt like I was in London enjoying a cuppa!

No longer the same quality !
It used to be the real authentic No.1 English Breakfast tea, but my recent purchase lost all the unique taste it had. It should have a hue of reddish color when you make the tea, now all you see is brown color, even you double the strength. It used to have that smooth and rich after taste on your tongue but now it had none. The smell of the tea leaves is different too. If I did not see the package I would have guessed I am drinking a different Tea, not Chelsea No.1..This is a real disappointment, I could have paid half the price to get the same quality tea, or pay the same price and getting twice the weight of tea. I would not buy Chelsea No.1 anymore. The dying of a real high quality legendary tea !
