What are you waiting for
I haven't owned this for very long but I can tell you for sure that the first time you run that comb through your mustache or beard you can feel the difference. The Sawtooth shape of the comb conforms to all parts of your beard and mustache as you comb and it just Glides through the hair with no resistance because it's not grabbing hair and breaking or shaving off part of the hair shaft which will turn into split ends or breakage. This is the comb that I've been looking for for 40 years. Very Compact and fits in your pocket nicely so you can keep it with you at all times in case you need to touch up. Some people have mentioned how stiff it is to open and for sure when you first get it it's almost impossible to open up. I opened and closed it several times and it got better so I got the thinking. What if I put about a triple folded piece of notebook paper against the teeth as I close it and make sure that the paper stays flat. You could probably use one of those annoying pieces of mail that came to you unsolicited that are thicker , more like a postcard. Then I hit it with a blow dryer until it got warm through which was not very long. I did it again on the other side of the teeth and now it is firm enough to stay closed and still requires a fingernail against the end of the comb to pull it open, but it is MUCH easier to open now. I'm sure with use that it will wear in on its own but thought I'd give you a tip on the blow dryer. You don't have to heat it all that hot but you do want it very warm all the way through. We're not trying to melt plastic here we're just trying to get it soft enough to conform to the friction spots. I can't tell you how happy I am with this product. There are other brands and I did try to buy one initially but they couldn't seem to get it delivered to me. I just looked for another brand and this company has been around for a very long time so I decided to go with them even though their ratings weren't quite as high as my first choice. I couldn't be happier. I would buy again in a heartbeat if I needed one. I probably won't for a while because these are very well made. Update: I lost my comb so instantly ordered another. I'm just going to address the stiffness of opening again. This one was nearly impossible to open, just like the last one was when I got it. Like I said before all it took was a piece of folded over notebook paper. Actually I folded it double and then put it around the teeth so that it would close with the paper around the teeth into a fully closed position. I hit it with a little hot air from the blow dryer so that it felt pretty warm and then let it cool with the paper in there for a bit and just like the last time, it opens and closes easily but still stays closed.

Good handmade quality piece.
I use this for my beard and mustache, way better to carry in my pocket than most any other comb. Have had it for a while now and it's still working fine with no broken teeth or any other issue. Good quality made piece.

Great, but small and sometimes hard to unfold
Note that this comb is indeed very small; it's not much bigger than a AA battery when folded. That said, this is what I was looking for and love it. I give it a four rather five, though, because it sometimes sticks when you're trying to unfold it, especially when first purchased. (If this happens to you, just be patient with trying to open it.)

Not hard to please, I'm easily satisfied with the best
Isn't loose, combs my beard well with no pulling or snagging, the "White Tokyo" celluloid looks great, very classy. It is a little tight, but the very tip of the comb extends a tiny bit over the handle so just use your fingertip to open it. It literally can't fold completely "inside" the handle and if one can't open it when closed I really don't know what to say. In my picture you can see the tip of the comb that sticks out. If it becomes a little loose over time, pretty sure you could gently squeeze the rivet with a pair of pliers and it will be as tight as new again. Like my other Kent comb it is of outstanding quality. Size is fine for me, it's for grooming properly, not combing your entire Santa Claus beard in one stroke. Lightweight, feels good in the hand. It's just going to be tucked into my briefcase for travel, not sure how it would be in a back pocket, sitting on it. Might buy another with the "graphite" celluloid, which also looks great. Handmade in the UK rather than molded in China which I also like. Recommend.

Top quality and construction…durable!
I use one in my bathroom drawer, and one in my travel kit. Smoothly hand-polished, so they pull right through mustache/beard hair…folding pin still holds up well…stays open or closed when you want it to!

Close it once, and it'll never open again!!!
When closed, it binds so tightly that it's an intolerable struggle to open. This may be hand made, but it's certainly not hand inspected. No quality control.

Quality appears to have went down
Great little EDC folding comb. Small, sturdy and has been getting the job done for the last couple years. The tortoise is a nice touch as well. But I recently lost it and decided to replace it with a new one, and it just seemed off. It is very hard to open and close and the handle/sheath that the comb folds into seems very flimsy. 2 days after receiving it I did locate my 2 year old comb and did a comparison. The new one has a fatter comb and thinner handle than my old one, making it harder to open/close and harder to hold. Maybe this new one was just a fluke, but it will always only be a backup. Def not made for primetime. Pics show 2 year old comb on the left, new comb on the right
