Well written and humbly performed. Nostalgia bliss.
I was born in 1974 and was the perfect age for the karate kid when it came on the scene. As an adult I would joke with friends as we reminisced on the scenes and classic movie lines from this film. This series has been an awesome experience for me. So if you are a eighties raised child of TV and movie, this may be a nostalgic buffet of fun for you. The role of Johnny is far more interesting and well portrayed role than that of Daniel. Who knew I would love Johnny. Sweep the leg!!!

I’m an old fan!
I grew up watching the Karate kid! Watches each one at the theater! Own all the versions (even the king fu kid)But this show really is fantastic and continues the saga! Love it!I wish Pat would have lived long enough to be in it. But they do a great job of keeping his spirit alive!

Not as good as the first season, but not terrible
First season was great, likely due to nostalgia, but also the new twists on an old story. I got hooked pretty early on, and binge-watched through the second season. Probably a mistake since things seemed to go off the rails by the second or third episode of S2. They dug a little too deep into the good vs evil cliche, but managed to keep things interesting by staying on Johnny's journey and transformation. I think that's why I'm interested in the third season (certainly not because of the bonkers final episode). This show is far from reality, but there are moments that keep it enjoyable.

The legendary rivalry fights on!
I’m always worried season 2 won’t be as good but this has not disappointed. A new, bizarre character has been introduced that promises more conflict as the characters fight with their feelings and their sparring partners.

AND THE "GOODNESS" CONTINUES......
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! And season two was no disappointment! There is the perfect amount of "cheese" in it.....I love the characters...and as much as you want to HATE some, you realize this show is about Ying and Yang! (Look it up....it will make sense...) Plus whoever did the music is amazing! It brought me back to the "rockin' 80's" movies like no other!I am a BIG fan and can't wait for season 3!

Massive Quality drop from Season 1
After an almost perfect first season, it was always going to be difficult to make a follow up. The first few episodes of this series REALLY drag.Daniels first few episodes of slow, boring Miyago Do training are the cure for insomnia and really hard to get through. The series starts to pick up in episode 4 however and then finds its feet pretty well until the finish. So its still a very solid season and very well worth it. But it takes a while to start. Its also missing a lot of what made the first season so fresh, taking aim at PC culture. So its lost a bit of what made it so unique... But its still decent.
