#1- make sure you get ALL the lint off the roller before using. DO NOT skip this step!!!Easy to use, and made rolling the Copper Metallic paint a breeze. (I tried rolling with a "regular" roller and it didn't work as well.) If sponging, I recommend getting the sponge with the handle. It was WONDERFUL!!! I tried using a regular roller after reading some of the reviews that said they did not have a problem with the regular roller. Mine was very streaky. I bought this roller and the liquid additive and that worked much better

If you plan on using any of the Modern Masters Metallic paints, I HIGHLY recommend using these rollers. I painted horizontal stripe in my baby's room using the Modern Masters ME196-32 Metallic Pearl White paint. I attempted to use a spoonge roller, but it just turned out so ugly. I decided to purchase the Modern Masters roller & it just made the job so much easier. The stripes turned out beautifully & I honestly believe it's because I used this roller.If I had any complaint it would be that these rollers are insanely expensive for what will more than likely be a one-time only paint job. However, if you spend the money to use the Modern Masters paint because you want something to look nice & last a long time, these rollers are worth it!

I bought this paint roller specifically to apply my Modern Masters Pale Gold Metallic Paint Collection Water-Based Metallic Paint. It was not better than either a foam roller (which left air bubbles everywhere) or just the regular cheap 3/8" nap roller I'd bought at the hardware store. I followed the Modern Masters application directions exactly, including adding 1 pt Modern Masters Metallic Paint Collection Extender for Rolling Additive to 1 gallon of paint.The giant seam in the roller left very obvious repeating diagonal marks on the wall. You can see this in the photo with the doorway on the left side. The only way to minimize (not avoid) this was to keep the roller dripping with paint, and smooth out the nap with my hand after each roll. I don't think the diagonal marks are obvious anymore, but the paint had to go on so thick that the texture is very far from smooth (I included a closeup photo of the texture).As you can see in the photo of the completed wall (with the border and trim), I think it came out alright in the end, but it was a very frustrating application process and the texture is not even close to what I'd wanted.This roller is most definitely not worth the price.

I’m not convinced this was worth the cost. The fibers kept separating and soaked up a lot of paint. The final result looked great after three coat. I’ll never know if this made a difference but I think it made it more difficult.

If you’re going to use Modern Masters metallic paint, this is definitely the roller to use. I paid a professional painter to paint my bathroom and after 4 hand applied coats and two using an air sprayer, doing it myself using this roller yielded much much better results.

Tried just using a regular roller and saw every stroke. Ordered this and roller marks magically disappeared.
