I have a dual battery setup in my SUV. The second battery is maintained using the car's alternator and a REDARC 1225D DC charger. One battery has an Anderson SB-50 connector entering the cabin to which I connect various loads. The Victron unit will be connected to the SB-50 cabin connector and will be used to charge a Goal Zero Yeti 1500X power station that requires 14+ volts to charge. This unit put out a solid 380W @24V (according to the Yeti's display) when plugged into a Goal Zero Yeti 1500X. By contrast the wall charger sold with the unit charges at a rate of 120W. So I can likely have the 1500X all charged up by the time we get to the next campsite. Note that you have to set the unit up in "power supply mode" as the high amperage input on the 1500X is in front of a MPPT solar controller with a charging floor (voltage required to charge) of 14V. In other words, this unit fakes the 1500X into thinking it is connected to a high wattage set of solar panels. Don't make the mistake of trying to charge the new X series Goal Zero products with 12V input; it won't work. EDIT: the unit runs hot when configured as a power supply and running at full output. Consider adding a cooling fan.

First time buying this brand of electronics. Fit and finish are very nice and the phone app with Bluetooth provides good information. I like things that just work and this 12 to 24 vdc battery charger was worth the price. I will look for this brand for any other similar products as needed.

Victron is a reputable company and I use it a lot for my boat electrical system, but their products are not without glitches, therefore be careful and always check their hardware for the advertised performance. I got two of these 12/24 charges and one performs flawlessly while the other fluctuates the floating voltage a little ( about 1-2%). Clearly something somewhere is wrong. Will deal with the replacement

This product replaced an expired battery charger that I had on my sail boat. Its a great unit that was very easy to install and performs as expected. The accompanying phone app that monitors the state of the charger and batteries is great. The charger and batteries are mounted in a relatively inaccessible place, Consequently the app is a real bonus.
