THESE ARE AMAZING
I get cankers due to hormones (thanks IUD and lexapro) and these ease the pain for HOURS. They are easy to apply, and after a couple minutes, will not affect you talking. These are not the best for eating greasy or rough foods. One downside, is that towards the end, there will be a jelly like substance stuck to your canker which may be uncomfortable to remove and taste kinda bad. I personally don't mind because of the amount of relief I get out of these.

As an experienced canker treatment tester, this is my number one go-to.
I've tried 'em all. My medicine cabinet is full of about 10 different canker remedies... anbesol, manuka honey, canker-rid, KANKA, and way more. Upon trying canker cover a few months ago, I finally stopped buying new stuff because it works perfectly for me, alongside zilactin-B:- This product (canker cover) provides the best protection and my sores heal more quickly than with anything I've had before. That is because I finally realized that the biggest reason for slow healing is that they get poked and prodded without noticing during the day or night. If your canker sore hurts during the day, that means your actions are preventing it from quickly healing and the best thing you can do is physically protect it. Apply this as early on as possible and the sore will not last long, and make sure that you don't get the canker cover wet before applying it, or else it won't stick as well. Canker cover is the only product I've tried that very sturdily protects the sore, and keeps it reliably sealed so that food doesn't get in. It is especially useful at night, I was frequently hurting the sore while sleeping unawares.- But, for sores that are near the lips, canker cover is quite visible. So when I'm going to eat with a friend, or singing in choir, I use Zilactin-B to cover the sore. Zilactin-B provides noticeably less protection than canker cover, but still makes a world of difference compared to having nothing. Make sure not to put too much or on too wet skin or it won't ever properly dry, and it'll just fall off. Too little, and you get less protection. It may take a few times to learn how to apply it right. Those two are the perfect combo. I've been meaning to leave this review for months because forreal this has been a huge help to me. Canker cover in particular is a bit pricey but 100% worth it. Another thing that helped was getting my sharpest "wolf teeth" ground down at the dentist (they did it for free, took 5mins). Also, brush regularly and drink lots of water ;)Edit: Also! I recommend Squigle toothpaste, it irritates the sore less. I use the version with fluoride. My sores usually peak at just under 1cm diameter if not treated and are usually inside the mouth. Canker cover will probably not work for sores on the tongue, but Zilactin-B will.

I tried it out of desperation
I gave this item a try out of desperation. Those of us afflicted with canker sores, especially in odd locations inside the mouth, know the unrelenting suffering that comes with a flare up. After reading all the reviews about this item and having nothing left in the house except a salt and water rinse option, I decided to try ONE tablet, just to see if it would help.It was really difficult to affix to the sore - the tablet is bulky and the sore was not in a flat location. Just as I got the pill stuck to the sore, it kind of also stuck to my finger (yes I followed the instructions about how to apply) and pulled slightly away from the sore which caused a lot of pain. The tablet sat in the spot for about 35 minutes then it started to gel and congeal. It didn't feel so bad at that point, just kind of bulky. I sensed the slight menthol taste but it wasn't overwhelming. About two hours later it had expanded significantly and became a giant-sized slime blob. It eventually started to stick to a few nearby teeth. That wasn't the problem so much as once it started to stick elsewhere it tugged away from where it was supposed to be so there was kind of a ripping feeling away from the sore and of course more pain. It's a very difficult thing to manipulate and if you attempt to, be prepared with tissues and swabs and lots of uncontrollable drooling.Like another reviewer, I attempted to "trim" the outer parameter of the blob and gently used a toothpick on the outside area of the sore. Unfortunately, what remained of the sticky blob just kept expanding in its place. I decided to just leave it be and let it run its course as it seemed way too risky to remove it. In the end, it didn't contribute to healing the sore but it did cover it up for a few hours.I have yet to find a good OTC product that works to alleviate the pain, as well as the canker sore itself. Most, like this, are very expensive and yield mixed results at best.

Interesting Product, not bad but not always good
I read other reviews decided to give it a shot.I get roughly 4 Cankers a year. I always envisioned a product like this but never really looked for one.My usual remedy is pinch of baking soda 2-6 times a day as available. then clear with Hydrogen peroxide 2x, at least before bed. Usually go away 2-4 days if you start the second you notice. The idea of slapping this on and being done was great. My sore was inside bottom lip across from canine tooth.follow instructions place on it, it adheres well, ZERO discomfort, you could feel it but nothing was impeded.placed at 7pm, figure 12 hours will be in the morning, it will have dissolved and were good.I woke up and it had lightly glued my lip to my gums below for teeth. and the "seal" had grown and while no pain or discomfort it was very annoying. It was dissolving and you can feel/taste that fact. Kind like a bit of wet sand, with the flavor of paper. So I tried to scrap out some of the goop to speed some of this up, but the goop is well made. Qtips couldn't do enough. ***Instructions says do not remove and let dissolve over the 12 hours*** so I tried to use my finger and I got most of it out. keep in mind its been 14 hours since placement, so I got a bit more aggressive with a Q tip, was able to scrap it but it took a layer of skin with it. It didnt hurt or cause any issue, just gave feeling for a burnt tongue.I would use them again (pack of 6)but the placement will determine this.
