George 2-in-1 Humidifier & Air Purifier

I got this to protect fragile Koa wood acoustic guitar. It seems to be doing the trick. I have acoustic instruments, and felt the need to invest in their "wellbeing". this item seemed the most suited to my needs and appears to be doing the trick .

Ich bin verwundert, dass dieses Gerät "Stadler Luftwäscher Georg" nicht mehr Rezensionen hat. Einmalig modernes Design, einfach handhabbare Technik, sehr wirkungsvoll (Luftfeuchtigkeit im Raum 45%, was bei uns starken Reizhusten verursacht, Gerät auf Stufe vier (55%) und Automatik, nach ca. einer Stunde 52% Raumfeuchtigkeit, die konstant gehalten wird, kein Reizhusten mehr). Besonderheit: Gerät läuft bei "Automatik" zwar etwas lauter an, reguliert nach kurzer Zeit runter und ist dann mit minimalstem und nur leicht sonorisch-tiefem Laufgeräusch fast nicht wahrzunehmen - beim Fernsehen nicht zu hören. Das Gerät läuft bei uns den ganzen Tag und steht im freien Raum hinter der Wohnzimmercouch. Also ca. 1,5m von unseren Ohren entfernt. Wassertank mit 3 Liter wurde vor drei Tagen gefüllt und hat noch ca. einen Liter. Über die unauffälligen kleinen Druckknöpfe und die minimale Druckknopfbeleuchtung sollte man nicht nörgeln, sondern die Absicht "keine Lichtbelästigung in Schlafräumen" verstehen. Wir sind von diesem Gerät begeistert.

Mooie en elegante luchtbevochtiger. De luchtbevochtiger is compacter dan dat je denkt en is super stil. Zeer tevreden met de aankoop. Ik kan deze aanbevelen. Pluspunten - Je kan deze op automatisch kan zetten dan zal deze eens in de zoveel tijd aangaan om te controleren of de lucht vochtig genoeg is. - De bak en de trommel kunnen in de vaatwasser. - Design uiterlijk. - Stil genoeg om in b.v. de slaapkamer te laten staan. Minpunt - Het reservoir met het water is soms lastig om los te krijgen. Het is een handigheid die je onder de knie moet krijgen.

Avis mitigé, car l'appareil présente une défectuosité, à l'achat, j'ignore comment cela va s'arranger car il faut passer en direct via le fabricant. Sinon l'appareil est vraiment impeccable en général dommage pour ce problème rencontré...

Umidifica senza saturare l'aria (per la tecnologia di evaporazione a freddo). A mio parere è percepibile la differenza della qualità dell'aria, in particolare durante la notte. Il rumore durante la notte è tollerabile a livello di potenza due su quattro. LED dimmerabili per evitare il fastidio notturno. Manutenzione facile, pensato bene. Esteticamente bellissimo, arreda.

Poor quality control. I ordered two Georges and one failed right from the start. The machine is supposed to stop by itself when the water runs out, but it does not. The George just keeps on running and get quite hot when running with no water. Stadler Form tells me to check the "swimmer/floater", but it's fine, and there is nothing that can be done but to return it to Amazon. Since shipping the rather large item back is about €70 it's not an ideal situation. I can't help but think that Stadler Form could have done a better job with the quality control and produced and shipped a working machine instead of a faulty one. Other issues: Drying laundry is more efficient. The machine is rated for 60 m2. I have two of George in a 80 m2 apartment. I have had it running for full blast for a few days and humidity level barely changes. Drying laundry is noticeably more effective when to comes to increasing the humidity level. The Georges can raise the relative humidity level from 10% to 11% at 23C in my apartment when the outside temperature/humidity is -15C / 60%. In comparison: Hanging out a load of laundry to dry, brought the humidity level up to 20%. In a smaller room George was able to get the humidity level up to 17% (in my 12 m2 office). So if you have very a small room that you want to increase the humidity in, you might be OK if you want to roll the dice on getting a working product. Claim: Easy to clean. No, it is not. I tried to clean the wheel in the dishwasher as described, but it did not do anything. The machine slowly builds up a thick layer that comes of easily if you use Stadler Forms descaler, but then you are looking at buying expensive descaler all the time. You need a lot of this! Trust me. I just got 6 bottles (€60 +). And we have soft water here ( 2,5 ºdH) and we have to clean it once a week, or it starts smelling. Noise. It's a noisy machine if you run in at auto (level 3) or 4. It's very quiet at level 1, but then it hardly puts out any water, so why even bother. Level 2 is bearable but then we are back to not putting out much water. On the bright side, it's a good looking. But that's about it. I have one good looking air washer and one good looking piece if trash labeled Stadler form, George. I reached out to Stadler Form to ask if they would stand by their products quality and just send me a working George to compensate me for sending me a nonworking one, but they would not, and just referred me back to Amazon. So I either have to live with this, or be willing to spend €70 for a 50% chance of getting a working machine. So much for Swiss quality and Stadler Forms commitment to happy customers. Cheers
