Premium Retro Stainless Steel Ice Cube Tray

Finally, a real 'ice tray,' like the ones we used to have! Only this one, while elegant and sturdy, needs a stronger handle. I have found that you hesitate to really give it a hard enough pull because it just feels like it is not strong enough, and will bend. You can compensate by running water over the bottom of the tray, and even the top, but then the ice is wet and not as handy to manage. Our old ones were aluminum; this one is nice stainless steel and very well made - just needed to reinforce the handle. I like it, and I'm really glad to have it; this is the only fault I find.

Quality, well constructed ice tray. A major upgrade from the fragile little plastic trays you buy in the market. I thought I remembered how to use these from my childhood. They're a little more of a struggle to get reacquainted with than I expected, but I'm confident that's a me problem not an ice tray problem. I now just leave it out for maybe five minutes to soften up slightly before breaking the ice. Really well built product.

The tray is well constructed. It is not flimsy. The moving parts move well. The down side is that cubes do not release well. It is necessary to run water over the ice cubes to get proper release. In that process, some of the ice is lost due to melting.

We love this product!!!! For years our ice cube trays have been either plastic or rubber, and they've been okay, except they leak and don't work. My Husband is obsessed with the ice-maker on our new refrigerator, but, our house was built in the 30's, so we've been dumping ice into the freezer because the water isn't hooked up through the wall.He mentioned when he was a little kid there were metal ice trays, and this is the coolest one ever, the ice comes out thick and in perfect cubes, but more than that, it pops out with a handle and you don't have to fight with/break the tray. I love it so much I want to buy more of them and just use those instead of the ice maker. It also arrived immediately. Absolutely buy again.

This is a product for to long, I just could not find in stores. I am glad I was able to find it online. My family and I do a lot of dry camping and take trips in our RV. Plastic ice trays take a lot longer to freeze ice cubes. Metal stainless steel trays freeze quickly and are safe. So now we have colder drinks while almost roughing it outdoors, LOL. We had these trays when I was growing up. They freeze quickly and being stainless steel I know they will last a long time. I give them 5 stars, they work great.

WORST PRODUCT EVER. CUT MY HAND TRYING TO GET THE ICE OUT. Watched youtube videos on the product to make sure that I was using the product correctly. Unfortunately, the ice freezes in a sheet in the bottom because the metal dividers don't make full contact with the base which makes it near impossible to break the ice. The entire tray flipped up and sliced my hand open. Not worth it.

This is a great ice tray. My mother had one similar to this when I was growing up and it worked so much better than the plastic ones that are out there now. Hers was aluminum, but stainless steel is so much better. I got this because I was tired of fighting the plastic to get tiny, little cubes out. This makes nice, big cubes. No more wrestling for ice!
