Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer

The animation is really good. It's one of those movies I was afriad I had remembered better than it was, but in fact, I guess I was right that this is a pretty gorgeously animated mid-budget feature from my childhood. Very happy to see it again.

As a child, I loved this movie. I had Rainbow Brite dolls, movies, and I'd watch the cartoon on tv when it was on...Well, some years have passed and I've never forgotten about this movie or the catchy songs within it. So, one day I decided to hunt it down (which was surprisingly not as hard as I thought it would be). I'm so happy to know I'm not the only person who can still appreciate the value of more innocent days gone by.As soon as I got it, I forced my friends to watch it with me. By the end of the movie, all of us were able to appreciate it for the memories it sprung back up for us. I can honestly say I am enjoying just as much now as I did 20 years ago. :-) Great purchase!

I am an 80's kid, and when my five year old son wanted a movie, I made him watch this because I needed a little nostalgia. He loved it. I wish they would make it available to purchase on prime. I'll be spending like $500 on rentals when it's all said and done. Maybe that's their plan.Warning: You will have the opening song stuck in your head for the rest of your life. Can't believe it never won a Grammy. What is this world coming to?

I grew up in the 80's, watching shows like Rainbow Brite.The series was filled with magic, music, and appealing characters. I was especially mesmerized by the beautiful horses, who are drawn better than their human counterparts!This movie introduces some new characters without losing the feel of the series.From Rainbow Brite awakening and setting out to restore a colorful spring after the long winter (racing Stormy for the right to do so), to the arrival of a strange robotic steed with a plea for help.Can Rainbow save the planet Spectra from being added to a spoiled Princess's collection? If she fails, the results could be catastrophic!This movie should be in every DVD collection.It is a wonderful film for the young, or the young at heart.

I remember watching this animated movie all the time when I was a kid and after so many years, it's still very nostalgic. I wish there could've been a documentary on the making of the series and film. An 80's classic for children and parents alike.

So much nostalgia! I adored this show when I was younger, and I must say it did not let me down revisiting it. The bright colors and animation from this dvd are as memorable as when I saw it so many years ago. If you have not seen Rainbow Brite before and you enjoyed shows like Smirfs, Pokemon, and Dragon Ball, then I recommend taking a go at Rainbow Brite. It is the classic good versus evil cartoon with many good morals and fun characters.

Fabulous 80's classics! I am so glad these are available to share with the little girls in our lives <3I bought this for my niece and both she and her mom (who grew up in the 80's) love watching this together.There are some parts that could be scary for very young children (depending on what you and/or your child deems as scary) so I recommend an adult watch before hand. Please don't let that turn you off though... This is GREAT!!

It was more than I would’ve wanted to pay for a dvd but soooooo worth it! Childhood memories are priceless!

DVD difficile à trouver dans le commerce, et même s'il y a peu d'épisodes dessus, au moins il était en bon état et cela a beaucoup plu à ma petite fille. Merci.

As a child who grew up in the 80s Rainbow Brite is a blast from the past. This DVD gave me the opportunity to revisit my past, but also share Rainbow Brite with my children. Join Rainbow Brite and her horse Starlight as they try to bring Summer to Earth, as they battle an evil princess who is trying to keep Spectra to herself, plummeting earth into continuous winter.The movie is entertaining, and as long as you can look past the 1980's era animation this movie is a must see. The quality of animation is obviously not at the same level as Toy Story, or Finding Dory, but for all fans of Rainbow Brite its easy to look past that.Highly recommended!
