I never had a chance to use this. I bought self seal cans after I bought this. But I did buy the master cool depresser version ( nearly identical ) and that worked great without leaks. It’s well built, seems solid, handle is nice, and works perfectly with my master cool gauge set.

Worked fine. No obvious leaks while filling the AC on my truck. I shopped a lot of these valves, and this one was a little more, and the reviews were a bit better. Turned out to be a good choice.There is a little left in the can, but I have no expectations that this will seal good enough to keep that for a long period. Who cares.

Much better than most of the other options
This can adapter is significantly higher quality than most of the other adapter available on Amazon. I always have an issue with the cheaper adapters having their threads stripped out - not anymore!Note that this is a piercing-type adapter. If you need the self-sealing can adapter, get the Mastercool 85512 instead.

NOT Recommended.
I’ve had this tap for a few years now. 3rd time I used it, it stopped working. Valve locked up and would no longer function. Lost a full can of refrigerant because of it. If you need a one time use this is probably great for the price but don’t count it to be there for you later when you need it!
