2 DOA's
I bought the first one, it was DOA. So I asked to do an exchange. The seller did do an exchamge, and quickly. However the 2nd one was also DOA :( I figured it was pointless to try to exchange the 2nd DOA one, to try again. So I had 2 DOA's :( I was really looking forward to this flashlight too :( The rating 1 star is for the flashlight. The seller gets 5 stars, because of the 1st quick exchange.

CAUTION!! Loved it, but then SUPER heated on battery change
To the point this unexpectedly became an absolute fire hazard, and so hot that it could severely burn a child, or really anyone. I loved the product tremendously and used it often at night to watch for snakes here in the North Georgia Mountains. Performance wise it did everything as advertised, and at least to me, even better. BUT, after about four months (today) I had to replace the 12 AA batteries. I did not recall any special battery change instructions on the package, and made certain to check and triple check the correct polarities in the three rows of four batteries in the cartridge. Upon inserting the batteries into the cartridge, and then the cartridge into the battery handle and sealing by screwing the end cap in place, the flashlight would not turn on. I pulled the cartridge and once more checked that I had the polarities correct. I inserted the cartridge again, and again the flashlight would not turn on. I left the flashlight with batteries still installed on our granite kitchen counter top to go into the garage to get my battery tester. At that point I was mad thinking I had a bad battery in the new box of Energizer AA's I had just opened for the change. But before I could open the flashlight to check a single battery, I nearly my burnt my left hand picking up the handle with the batteries inside. The flashligh had become that hot within far less than two minutes. I chased the dog away and secured him in my office room. I grabbed two kitchen Ove Gloves to hold the flashlight and to unscrew the end cap. The decorative outside layer of each battery was starting to melt. Realizing the danger of what could next happen, I grabbed a wooden handle kitchen knife and just began flipping the batteries out of the cartridge as quickly as I could. My place of purchase is giving me store credit for the return, which is nice after four months of use. I realize the problem could have been due to my error, but I was working with good lighting and near perfect eyesight.

Stops working and won't charge
This worked great for about 4 months and we did not even use it very much. Then it sat for about a month and I and I went to use it and it won't stay on it simply flashes once. I plugged it I plugged it in to charge it and it will not take a charge. It is pretty heavy duty and seems to be well made, hate to throw it away but there is no way to charge the battery and there is no way to replace the battery

Not worth it.
Recently I had to change the batteries. The light functioned once after that. Totally dead after that. I suspect the bulb blew out. Unable to get it replaced.
