What are the "sand like beads" made of?

Despite what the description says, and despite how the company responded to this very question, the beads are 90% glass and 10% polyester which means I'll have to return it because I'm allergic to polyester which is the exact reason why I bought a 100% cotton and glass bead blanket.

How big are the squares are they 6inches or less?

The squares are 4' x 4'. Hope that helps you.
