First Mechanical Keyboard
I had been looking at getting a mechanical keyboard for some time now. I did a LOT of research, and settled on the Velocifire M2 TKL61. The board itself is solidly build, and does not move arond on my desk. I was concerned at first about the lack of adjustable feet on this, but the way the keys are profiled it's not an issue. The keycaps seem well made and durable, though I wonder if the white lettering will wear off in time. I am happy with the Outemu browns, and I may swap them out for other Outemus at some point. I would have liked to see the PCB be swapable for other switch brands, but at this price point it's not a huge takeaway.Others have comment on the dodgy "/?" issue which I feel is addressed with the firmware update you can get on their website. RGB is nice and bright, with a decent number of patterns, but honestly that wasn't a real consideration for me for my use.Nice braided USB cord included.Bluetooth paired easily and is a solid connection so far.The software from the company is basic, and serviceable. I would like to see the ability to map or adjust the layers. As it is, you can only re-map the base layer of the board. The lack of a del key could have been addressed with the ability to map.Overall I am happy with this board, and it saves me room on my desk.

A lot of value in a small package
This is a specialized, but great keyboard. The compact keyboard frees needed space on my table. The compact size does not interfere with my ability to type. Most of the lighting functions are easy to find and program. The keyboard has good weight and with the rubber feet, the keyboard stays in place. It works well with my Apple Computer. It is a bit heavy to be considered "portable". The mechanical keys are great and far superior to an Apple type of key.The Cons: I wish the keyboard had back feet that could rise. The owner's manual needs expanding and the Velocifire website could use more technical and how to sections. A few video would also be great. All and all, a great value.

Love my baby
I’m not much of a gamer & this is my first RGB keyboard so take my words as a grain of salt: but I really like this keyboard so far.Pros:- love the sound of the keys (it’s not too loud and it’s rewarding)- lots of backlit color combo options, with options to dim/brighten and change the speed of the lights AND make your own color combo- easily connects to my devices (easy instructions to follow)- compact-size and lightweight- great battery lifeCons:- the /? button def needs getting used to bcs you need to press the Fn key + upper arrow (shift) key in order to switch between the two punctuation marks but it’s honestly not a big deal- keyboard is a bit tall for my wrist. My right wrist starts to ache if I use the keyboard too much. Could be because of my setupOverall: Happy 😊

Fairly decent but a few issues
I picked up this keyboard primarily because I wanted a reasonably priced board with hot swap-able switches. I code for work and use this board with a PC and command line linux. The bluetooth capability was in my mind a little added bonus that I wasn't specifically looking for. After a few weeks of use, while the keyboard overall works and met my initial purchasing requirements there are a few things that I don't like about it.1. There is no physical delete key.2. It takes two key strokes to get a "/" and three for a "?". This is a pain while writing file access code and navigating a file system from the command line.3. Sometimes the bluetooth connection lags and typed input doesn't go through or is delayed.Despite these issues, the keyboard works fairly well. It doesn't take up a bunch of space on my desk. I can replace the switches if I want to put in something quieter or with a different feel without having to deal with soldering. Connecting the keyboard to my computer with bluetooth means one less wire.

Comparing Velocifire M2 to the Keychron K2
I was looking for a mac compatible tenkeyless keyboard that was wireless, had wired mode for occasional gaming that looked nice on my desk. I write on the computer quite a bit so I wanted a KB that had brown switches so I ended up buying both the Velocifire M2 and Keychron K2 both with RGB. This review was done after typing for a couple of hours on each so I can't comment on long-term performance.Build Quality: Rock solid for both, no flex/creakiness, the M2 feels a little more solid actually.Connectivity: No problems connecting with either, I tested both bluetooth and wired. TieErgonomics: I actually prefer the angle of the Velocifire better, it's a little lower slung with a nice angle so there's less wrist strain. I have to use a wrist rest for the K2. Winner = M2Battery Life: K2 wins with the bigger battery.Switches: M2 uses Outemu Browns vs the K2 Gateron Brown switches. I find the Gateron's to be more satisfying but its close, however the spacebar on the M2 is noticeably worse in my opinion. This is quite subjective though.Usability: To echo what some of the other reviewers said, some keys need to do too much. It's hard to fault the M2 for this since it's a smaller KB but personally I think I'm leaning towards 65-75% keyboards over the 60%. The F12 key is also a +/= and volume up control, for example. If your workflow relies on the top keys I'm not sure if this is the right one for you.Aesthetics: Out of the box I have to give it to the K2, the Velocifire branding on the front of the KB is a bit of an eyesore but again that's subjective. Long term, I'll probably paint over the branding.Overall: If you're looking for a 60% board that works with Macs you can't go wrong with this one, with the caveats I mentioned above. I'll continue to use both for now since I prefer the angle on the M2 but I'll also be looking into other Velocifire boards that are be a bit bigger.
